Re: Official GVFL thread

just wondering how big ryan jones is going for Ky. Is he playing the praccy tonight

Word is he wont be plaing for awhile as he has a stress fracture in his lower leg. Apparently there was a big crowd for the match under lights against Tonny. Ky had 12 unavailable for the match with only gibbs playing as a new face. Ky beat a near full strength Tonny side by 6 points in a pretty scrappy game. Dirty wasn't present as he had business committments.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Yeah, a few fair transfers must not have been submitted to the league just yet. I wonder if there will be a mad rush or if that's all the big names already. I guess time will tell on that one.

brad these blokes wont need transfers as they play at those clubs already.. just havent been availiable for a few years due to bushies

Fair enough, but there are quite a few others that have left or joined GV clubs, but haven't put in their application yet.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Ladder Prediction

Mooroopna
Disappointing last season, finishing eighth. Got three handy players from Heidelberg – Dean, Lee, Waelan – as well as some handy local talent such as Lowe, Cowman and Lynch. Also got a couple from Melbourne.

Lost Norman, Aloi, Hall and Robbins, but should make the finals.

Add Ash Hockey and Ty Warnett, two former Bushies to that list. Russell Lee can play, won Heidelberg B & F, Cowman and Lowe will be handy pick ups, but dont know much about S Lynch, though i do see his clearance has been rejected twice.

Mooroopna are playing the O & M Premiers Wang Magpies tomorrow, but not sure where, can anyone tell me where this game is played might be worth watching.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Heidelberg beat Seymour by 50 odd points in their practice match today, too big and a lot cleaner with the ball with Seymour lacking a focal point up forward. Seymour bit short in the backline also but Heidelberg had some very tall timber.

Re: Official GVFL thread

I realise many of you are wondering what to expect from mansfield this season, so here is a complete list of ins and outs.

Ins: Craig Flint (Carlton rookie list), Ben Fagan (Clarence/Tasmanian Devils), Dom Vincent (Clarence, Tas) James Hamill (Sale/interleague player), Daniel Dai (Cairns Saints), Shaun Monohan (Perth Demons), Adam Mahoney (overseas), Luke Comerford (overseas), Callum Spykers (new - 6'8 Monster), Tim Hendrickson (Warrnambool), Jason Slater (Colac),

Out: Cameron Hotton (retired), Trent Hotton (retired), Guy Taylor (Overseas), Ben Millott (inj)

Re: Official GVFL thread

Hey Brad Rowe, on ur post of ins/outs for Echuca - Is 'Ash Byrne' the former coach? Is he still playing? Would be about 40 or so I would think?

Re: Official GVFL thread

Anyone from Seymour at the praccy match yesterday? Just wondering how a bloke who played with us last year went... Mitch Ellis? Is he a chance of playing much senior footy this year?

Might be enough to put Mansfield as a genuine contender? I'd have them on the second line of betting just behind Seymour with the Swans third favourite. The Hotton boys will be hard to replace but 11 new recruits means a pretty busy off season, and alot look like they've played at a pretty good level too. Craig Kelly is a fairly handy man to have at your club?

Seymour $2.00
Mansfield $4.00
Swans $5.00

No one is rating Benalla?? They played Yarrawonga and pushed them all day in a praccy. The word from those there is that they looked impressive.

Re: Official GVFL thread

Re Benalla. played Yarrawonga in a very competitve game on the week end and were done only in the last quarter. Will be very competitive, dont be surprised if Tim Symes plays. He is moving as good as anyone on the track and would be more than useful sitting in a pocket.

Also word is some further BIG news to be announced at KY has certainly put a smile on Dirty's dial. The bombers are gaining more and more strength as the season approaches. With there nbest team on the park no side would wont to take them lightly.
