The All-Star game is usually on ESPN each year so I assume it will be the same this year. As far as I know none of the others are on.

The agent of Mario Balotelli insists Manchester United are still in the race to sign the Inter Milan striker.

Balotelli is under contract with Inter for another three seasons and is also a target of Manchester City.

"The interest of Manchester for Balotelli is concrete and both clubs have confirmed it," said Balotelli's agent Mino Raiola to calciomercato.it.

"The player is clearly happy to be followed by (Manchester United coach Sir Alex) Ferguson.

"But I cannot exclude that in the end the player will remain at Inter or play in a different club with respect to the English outfit.

"In any case we will we will take every step with calmness and evaluate each time the situation."

Earlier today, new Inter Milan coach Rafael Benitez said he did not wish for any player to leave the club before he has had a chance to work with them in training.

He said: "I want to speak to him (Balotelli) and get to know him better as a person.

"All the quality players are important to me.

"But I need to see him, get to know him and see how he works."

The 19-year-old Balotelli is among the 20 players currently present at the opening of Inter's pre-season training in Appiano Gentile today.

Prob just agent hype up garbage but Balotelli at united? Don't know if his behavior would be tolerated for too long.

If we were to sign another striker like Balotelli, adding him to Rooney and Roonandez, where does that leave Berba/Owen and the likes of Kiko? Cannot carry that many strikers (and keep them happy).

I'd say Berbatov would be on his way out if we signed Balotelli or another striker which I doubt will happen. Definitely not our biggest concern atm. Don't forget we've got Welbeck and Diouf as well as Kiko.

You may be carrying a few strikers at the moment, but the question is, how many good ones do you want?

You can carry shit ones like Kiko, Owen and Berbatov and hope your main two (now Rooney and Hernandez) don't get injured.

Highly rated ones like Diouf and Welbeck will wait for their chances.

If you were to buy another one (whether it be Balotelli or someone else), Berbatov would be first out the door, since you'll be able to get a fee for him (no-one will buy Owen).

Hi guys, I have never posted in this area before. Mad United fan, like the rest of you, wondering what is going behind closed doors with regards to new signings.

The injury toll is already huge after pretty much one week of training, our ageing squad of players is starting to wear thin.

There is talk Hernandez will go to Valencia on loan, rather than spand a year playing only a handfull of games for the reserves. If there is no signing of a forward, I doubt he would be loaned out. Having said that, Macheda & Wellbeck in my opinion should both go out on loan to Championship sides, get a full year in of playing against men week in week out, both have a lot to learn.

Any of your guys like me wasting your money on Setanta?, just signed for a year, now they tell me that MUTV amy not be on this season.

Don't be surprised if some of the names being mentioned are red herrings, sometimes they contact a club re certain players with no itention of signing them, only to then enquire about the player they really want. I have a feeling this is what's happening with Ballotelli.

Cant see Hernandez being loaned out as we realistically have Rooney, Berba, Himself & Owen with a couple of up and comers. If Berba starts poorly expect Henandez to get good game time.

As for signings I dont really want to hear abolut strikers.

We need a creative goalscoring mid...simple as that!

None are listed in the Setanta guide.

The MLS All-Star game is usually shown on ESPN in Australia so I assume it will be again this year. Probably the only preseason game we'll get to see.
