Bowled just as well as the other quicks in his two matches.
And is seen as the future of Australian fast bowling.

Hussey has one rush of blood and that makes him a test match dud? It wasn't as if he was knocked over with middle & off stumps cartwheeling all over the place (like Harmison did to Hodge in a county game earlier in the year) was it?

What Brad Hodge has to do with this thread I'd love to know.
I just find it interesting that someone who averages barely 40 in Pura-Cup cricket and is 30 years old gets picked for a test match.
If we're going by that 40 is good enough logic, why not pick a 20 year old who averaged 39 last year?
And pommie ********er politely go away. Hussey CAN ONLY make runs in England. He just doesn't produce the goods in Australia.

SOmeone does something good they are a superstar and should jump the queue ahead of better batsman in other positions
Same player fails and it makes no difference, he should still apparently jump a better middle order batsman and bat middle order even though he is an opener and the next in line for the middle order spot is a better batsman with runs on the board against good opposition

And really does this make a mockery of the Test player number thing, he's only going to play one test - probably, and he got the cap presentation & all.
Why not select Cosgrove, North or Birt instead.. harsh but we really need some youth imo.

Lets look at this
He is in for 1 test match, he plays his domestic career mostly at the WACA. He knows a good score here would be helpful to his career, he gets beaten by a bouncer
He choked, plain and simple. Of course if you look at something other than Husseys f/c average you would realise he aint the superstar everyone makes him out to be
