Don't know if anyone caught the interview on NOVA this morning between Dave Hughes and Eddie, in relation to the news that Hughesy broke last week about the disgusting chant the some Collingwood supporters were chanting when they played Geelong.

Whilst Eddie conceeded that he throught that is was terrible, he deflected as he ususally does, because Eddie tried to contact Hughesy on Saturday through his manager, and Hughesy didn't call him back. Although, NOVA had tried to call him twice last week, and he didn't call him back.

He also said that because it was Geelongs home game, Collingwood could do very little about it. Why not just come out and say that they will do everything they can to find these guys and turf them out of Collingwood games! :thumbsu:

Finally, he had a go at the Herald Sun for not calling him about the story, and give them a decent backhander about the Shane O'Bree incident, and then later in the interview, gave his column a plug - in the Herald Sun. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you!

You cannot say one bad thing about that footy club - the guy gets so defensive, and he just talked over Hughesy for much of the interview. The guy is an absolute used car salesman!

Was a fantastic laugh.

Eddie just kept on falling down the hole...

It amazes me that Eddie still is willing to stand up and accuse Dave of making things up!

Eddie, instead of being an absolute moron and make Collingwood a point of sympathy...how about you be proactive, investigate the truth of the issue and release support that comments as fowl as these have no place in the modern game of football.

Or is this how you roll at Collingwood? Accuse others, defend your own and have full support for bad behavior of YOUR (you are responsible for ALL supporters, not just members as a club president, or should I say tool!) club?

- There is no way any media reporter would risk their career on such a sensational war of words -

One high 5 for Dave from this man! :)

Eddie just showed what a complete clown he was and as it was already mentioned, would not let Dave get a single word in.

I can just imagine Dave, Kate and Ed having a good laugh at Eddie afterwards.

And how was the plug for the "Hot Seat" mid way through Eddie's argument!?

The rumour is Didak did it...
Didak wasn't even there. Collingwood supporters called him up immediately after the incident and then decided it wasn't a good idea so he went home again.

Bloody cynics!

Yeah heard the interview/argument between hughesy and eddie.

.Eddie basically dominated on the defensive straight away.
.Hughesy was just stating facts of what happened.
.Eddie seems to incorrectly think because it came from a Carlton Supporter the 'facts' become an accusation that pies have feral supporters, etc.
.They kissed and made up (quickly, as the newsdesk was left waiting) with Eddie saying that "we all love you Hughesy" and not to leave it on a sour note.
.Hughesy still maintained that Eddie was too defensive over his pies.

It was pretty entertaining but got no where really.

I would just like to say it wasn't the 200 feral Collingwood fans who did that, it was the 200 magpies over there ---->

Summary for those that don't have 10 mins to listen to it all:

Eddie: "How dare you say anything about the Collingwood football club without going through me first?"

Hughesy: "We tried to call you."

Eddie: "Why didn't you call me!? You can't talk about Collingwood unless you get my permission!"

Hughesy: "We tried for two days."

Eddie: *Incoherent tangent-laden machine-gun ranting over everyone at the radio studio*

Hughesy: "You're being irrational."

Woman: "OMG don't talk to him anymore."

Eddie realising he's made a wank of himself: "We all love you Hughesy!"
