No that was debunked. Lindisfarne had a fifty game losing streak, beat Sorell on the last kick of a match at Anzac Park to win by 4 points and then went on to lose their next eighteen.
They had a run of 1-68-0 at one point back then, I think it was 2-77-0 before they began turning things around.

58 now. Who'd Channel end up beating to break the drought?

Cracking contest out at the bike track today with SVC holding the chooks out by 3 points on a freezing arvo. Their poor percentage keeping them out of the four.
Beans got a break on Uni to keep third spot in a scrappy win in the wet down at the Uni by just over four goals and the Ships went two and half game clear on top thrashing Richmond over at Geilston Bay.

Richmond forfeited in the reserves, due to covid only had 12 players

I have a very good mate that played almost all of that period when they lost that 62 on the trot, said it was a very tough time, he'd previously been at Kermandie, Kingborough and had a brief trundle with Cygnet.
Reckoned that for some reason they always matched up well with DOSA despite being at opposite ends of the ladder for the entire time in the Old Scholars and that they ended up going to North Hobart and rolling DOSA to break the streak. Celebrations – HUGE! 😆
7th July 2007 they defeated Triabunna by 28 points up at Triabunna, their next victory was 14th May 2011 over DOSA at North Hobart Oval by 18 points.

Beans and DOSA at Queenborough got called off because of a Hutchins player breaking his leg in the ressies. Poor bugger was laying on the ground for nearly 3 hours before the ambos turned up! No lights down the Bay so the seniors never went ahead.
Be interesting whether they replay it or split the points again after round 1 when that game got called off. Any chance DOSA had of gaining top spot almost certainly gone now.
Ships beat the Saints easily over at the Shipyard and Uni flogged Richmond at Uni.

You certainly don't want to be waiting for an ambulance at the moment!

It’s an amazing situation given the game was being played literally five mins or so away from the RHH!
I heard the ambulance had shown up, but they then had a call for a cardiac arrest and had to prioritise that. Poor kid was on the gas and they were too scared to try and take him to the hospital by car because of how badly his leg was

Good win to DOSA over the Bows up at the TCA by 7 goals today.
Both sides missing quite a few good players.
Not sure who designed DOSA's aboriginal week jumpers but they need to redesign the back at least, quite a few comments around today about the numbers being way too small and unreadable.
Roosters will be spewing over the two games being split points cancellations, it's likely they would now be equal top with the Ships otherwise.

With the split round I shot up to have a look at the senior game. The numbers on the jumpers wasn’t ideal.
Not a bad game.
Good to see Titta still carrying on like an idiot.

Didn’t mind Cassidy’s little dig at half time, telling titta he must be feeling the pressure of the board on his shoulders

From what I'm hearing is that the board are happy with him and have resigned him for next season, its the players that are not happy.

Richmond folded the reserves and then didn’t score in the seniors.
They’ve also got the record for most losses in a row in TAS history sewn up.
Just go to the ODFA.
Not sure I can see that happening while the Conway's are still running the club. Pride might be a bit too hard to swallow.
