When Gerrard Healy asked Mike Sheahan and Robert Walls if Buckley will/should play on next season, both didn't object.

I know they wouldn't know a thing about Buckley and what is happening in the inner sanctions of the Collingwood FC but they're both rather negative of the Magpies so I would've expected them to at least suggest he retire.

But both seemed upbeat that he CAN go around for another season because of a lack of match time this year.

Its a promising sign, but if his body holds up for the rest of the season, (and realistically, with our coaching staff being so cautious with him) which it should, then he can definitely have his fairwell tour in 2008. Hopefully a lot less interupted.

The only reason he will announce his retirement this season would be if he is holding up the cup on that last day in September.

Lets think about it for a second, if he wasn't going to play next year, then why would he be bothering with so many torn hamstrings this year? Either he thinks we are trully a genuine chance to win the Premiership in 2007, or he has already decided he wants to go again in '08 if he made it back in '07.

I would give my right one for him to be able to hold the premiership cup just once!!!!

i couldnt do it,hurt too much

walls actually isnt that negative towards collingwood.he has written some decent articles on us this year, and has given our young side a fair rap during most tv games this year

Robert Walls offers no great insight to football at all. Just states the obvious, goes with the flow, when the public is outraged at a players discretion, he writes an outraged opinion piece, when a team is playing well he writes an article praising them.

yes,he is a peanut, but this year generally he has said some good things about us.

Lane has been a bit more positive too than recent years, seems to of gotton over Eddie a bit

Unlike Quartermain who hates our guts and will sink the boot in every chance he gets.

i wont even start about caro.

Francis Leatch from SEN hates us aswell hates collingwood supporters ringing up he cant stand it

That's becuase the leach is a stkilda supporter.Sheezzzzzz imagine supporting that club.Nothing to look forward to, 1 premiership in AFL history and the thing is they didn't win that game in 1966 we lost it,breen's kick could have quite easily gone, out of bounds. That's why most stkilda supporters get frustarted when other suppoerts from other clubs want their say.Francis leach, sufferrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr !

Dont get me started on Quarterman - had no idea about basketball when it was on Channel Ten, and has absolutely no idea about football. He likes to jump on the opinions of respected ex footballers in the media, and mouths off like they are his own. Says shit like - "what a wonderful hard ball get!" and in the NAB cup he likes to say - "That was a brilliant 9 pointer!" Whats next? Hes going to start calling kicks from 50 'downtown'?
