As i said Prestia cant string games together without injuries anymore he was a gun but his body is cooked.
Grimes too.

Richmond still have some over 30s that are guns when fit (like martin) but some of the others are cooked.
Prestia has barely missed a game the last 2 years. But yeah that's enough now, hos body can't be trusted.

Grimes is truly cooked. He's awful. He's the exact kind of player this thread was designed for..players that were once good but went one season to many.
Grimes was cooked last year

Grimes spent the whole night switching between Curnow and McKay. Carlton had 65 inside 50s and both of the big guys looked on. But the Richmond defence hung in there partly because Grimes defended really well. His body work is still elite. You don't want the ball in his hand and he's not the player he was but he was excellent last night.

Ben Brown
Dion Prestia
Dylan Grimes
Nick Vlaustin
Travis Boak
Rory Sloane

And one that will ruffle some feathers:

Jamie Elliott
I agree with most of those except Vlaustin. Reckon he is still going pretty well

Continues like the first 2 weeks and he's AA. Probably in career best form which is saying a bit for a guy who has been a gun for a long time.
He's arguably their most important player outside Lynch right now. Plays the role that he does better than anyone in his side. Without him last night they are losing comfortably. Easily their best player.

Thats why the thread is called "one too many". Its the whole point of the thread.

Being good/okish one year - then going on one too many the next . He's the perfect example.
Well I was responding to someone who said he can't string games together, when in reality he has played most games for the last 2 years. It was 2020 and 2021 when he missed half the season +.
