Can't argue that it may have been over the top but my point was that emergency umpires are well able to pay a free when they see fit. That has been around for ages. It probably doesn't happen that often cause confrontation between players coming off the ground near interchange when the ball is inside 50 is rare.

Puts another umpire in the game , another one to pay free kicks against us.

We could potentially play only MCG tenants in the run for a Premiership, nullifying any home ground advantage the Minor Premiers are normally offered. Hawthorn in the QF, Collingwood in the PF and Melbourne in the GF.

I am so glad we dominated the MCG this year as this domination could end up very relevant by the end of the finals series.
