He did and that was very astute of him, but tonight's performance couldn't possibly raise that same level of confidence. Melbourne looked shaky after quarter time against a side that looked terrible for the entire game and now have added to their appalling recent finals record, but that we all know won't stop the Melbourne circle jerk from reaching fever pitch this week.

A few of these commentators probably need to temper their enthusiasm a little I think.

Duncan looks quality when they’re winning. When they’re losing you’d rather not have him in your side. I wouldn’t want him at Richmond. Too unreliable.
