It's pretty rare so who really cares?
Reckon Eddie is right on this one. The AFL promise 7 day breaks in finals but got caught up in the Dees upswell of support.
Pies vs GWS should be Friday and Hawks vs Dees Saturday. Really means eff all what day the games are on the crowd and TV audience will still be there.

He did the same in 2013 prior to the finals. Had a massive sook about Collingwood having to play Fremantle in Perth off a 6 day break in a semi final.
Collingwood went on to lose their elimination final and Fremantle went on to win their qualifying final, so Eddie ended up with egg on his face.
Perhaps he should just focus on getting past GWS first before worrying about preliminary final scheduling.

Agree, what about commentary saying he has nothing to answer for like Kane Corns defending Green. Umpires should nip it in the bud during the game.

What's with the melts over Toby Greene? He didn't push and he didn't get his opponent high.
I'm only 30 so didn't grow up playing footy in the magical unicorn days of the 80s that every old campaigner talks about as if it was decent standard of footy...but come on....Even I grew up with that being fine. You can knee a guy in the back of the head as you take a huge grab or put your boots on the guys head. And you've always been able to protect the drop of the ball with your boots. As long as you don't kick out or cop the guy in the face it's perfectly fine. If you don't want your stop marks to sting in the shower quit playing footy or get some awareness.
Too many letting their dislike for the individual cloud their judgment. Toby Greene is a campaigner but he's fine in this case. If the AFL want a less "dangerous action" they can reinstate the ability for players to push with the hands. They wanted it to be elbows and boots only for some bizarre reason so cop it.

its not a one off for Greene
he's chosen to do something the other 700+ registered players don't do (and haven't in the many decades I've been following )
its done to provoke , if you seem him live and watch closely you'll know he's a grub
and the karate kick style is a choice of his
as an AFL and Richmond stalwart I have many people come to me to discuss footy
or to ask questions etc , as I'm sure happens with many others,
while it is good to have a villain , nobody I know think it is acceptable
and everyone is finding it completely horrible
and are vocal in saying they don't want it as a part of the game
give him 2 weeks with 4 weeks suspended
with the threat if he comes to the MRP for karate kicks again in the next 12 month months
he'll get 6 weeks plus the 4 weeks suspended and it will escalate from there
will that modify his behaviour ?
its a very simple and firm " don't do it, ever" .
I don't want senior players doing it and I don't want juniors copying it
pardon the pun we should just stomp it out of the game
