Honestly don't understand all the Melbourne hate in this thread. I mean, I don't like them but bloody hell. The only Melbourne supporters I know are decent blokes and I think a lot of their players are actually pretty likable.

Tom Thug show boating in the game against us a couple of years back.
Them tanking for picks before us despite it being pretty clear we were the worst team.
When the players they picked walked out on them the AFL giving them ridiculous compensation.
AFL paying for their coach and giving them again...more picks.
The fact that they are easily the biggest fair weather supporters in the league. Will disappear the moment it gets a bit tough but now are all there all of a sudden.
Matthew Whelan dangerous and reckless smother which ended Nathan Browns career.
The fact that the most bitter bastard anti Richmond commentators all seem to be Melbourne supporters.

That's what I could think of in the last 5 minutes.

Correct and if by someone faint chance Melbourne did get up and win the flag then the last three premiers would have all come from decades in the wilderness to win the premiership which would further highlight that the game is indeed pretty healthy and that there is no actual need for wholesale changes to its rules or format, but you know the AFL 'gots to tweak this shit!
