No other team of last years top 8 was gifted an easier 2021 fixture than Port, no other team besides Adelaide was less effected by Covid travel, Port had an injury free list, a 2 week break, 2 home finals, motivation for last year loss and they didn't make the GF, one of the greatest chokes in history, embarrassing.

One of the reasons Port fails so often I think is because their cultures more bravado then substance, they hate their Jumper, the cringe "Never tear us apart" karaoke before games and the ridiculous goal celebration theatrics after kicking every goal (Dixon was at it again last night when they were 10 goals down)

Theres a reason why only Vic teams have made both Covid GF's "Culture & History" not VicBias.

You can add to that list of advantages to port the fact that the dogs couldn't train

Firstly how good has our board been lately? We got our sense of humour back in a real tough, sh*t time. Been awesome reading.
Secondly, i am so glad i no longer follow Cornes or any other of those AFL media *****. The putrid stuff they put out is clearly not worth anytime or effort reading it.

Pretty tough on the Cats there, I thought they practiced social distancing to a tee against Demons Friday night. There was at least 1.5 metres between a Cats player and a Demon player every time the GoDees player had the ball.

I wouldn't rush into making comparisons between Melbourne and us. They've achieved nothing so far.

Every team has the potential to be a dynasty team. At the moment the Demons are about where Collingwood or the Saints were in 2010.

Thats fair enough but melbourne do look in an exceptional position to be a dominate force over the next 4-5 years..Granted there are no guarantees and a lot can go wrong..

Listen it’s all in front of them right now . One thing they don’t have in common with dynasty sides is 2 class key forwards
Lynch and brown
Buddy and roughy
Riewoldt lynch
Ben brown 22G Tom McDonald 31G doesn’t have same ring to it , good enough to get the job done this week perhaps but not convinced the rest of the comp will be quaking at the knees for next few years

I’m not that fussed who wins really , I was keen for these two sides to win pre lims I’ve tipped melb way back think they’ll win but WB wouldn’t surprise one little bit , their midfield is absolute dynamite and defence could easily be good enough to keep McDonald and brown well quiet . May coming in injured is a massive gamble , naughton is a star and could make bloody fools of that decision
