Do you think 2 was enough for Brown ?….I think he got off lightly
Given it appeared to be a 'slip' with no damage, from the grainy footage, I think 2 is about right.

Knock a guy out and you should be misisng at least 4, 6 for repeat offenders
I understand that if you bump you run the risk …. But this game is a collision sport and the way it’s going it soon won’t be … that’s my fear
It is hard as the game is so fast now, but the evidence is there that concussions need to be avoided. Stacks bump on Viney was clear evidence the bump isn't dead, unfortunately the MRP haven't been consistent and there is still confusion.

Can’t believe Paddy Ryder got 2 weeks … the game is f’ed …. Ben Brown forearms a guy in the head and gets 1 week … it’s just got to the point of ridiculousness…. The game will become non contact the way it’s going
Dangerflog KO's a bloke in a grand final with an elbow and its play on....

McKay was just having a laugh according to the tools on 360.
**** these blokes have short memories. They laughed the McKay staging incident off and say that that sort of thing is fine, he's having a laugh, shouldn't be fined etc. But they forget that in 2020 Grimes and Vlastuin both got wrongfully fined for staging, and even had death threats against them and their families from mouthbreathing Essendon fans.

TO be fair, Brown was 2 weeks as well, VFL offer a discount for an early plea.

Paddy Ryder was never in the contest and took the risk by bumping him. Even though some will say he had no choice, he clearly did, he put himself in the path of the player resulting in a collision.

Surprised myself he got 2, thought it would have been 1, but if it stands, then jsut so long as the MRP are consistent, I don't have a problem with it.
The lesson courtesy of Pussies Paddy-

Charge on through, care factor nil, raise the elbow a bit higher, claim its a reflexive action for self protection, get off free to play the following match.

Saints Paddy, cared, propped and paid the cost.

Little diferent situations.

Pussie Paddy should have gone, purely because he raised his elbow. Been done to death, but not going to change anything. but yes you are right, because it was him, he wasn't scrutinised as harshley as if it had of been one of our players.

Saints Paddy didn't care, he placed himself in a position where he was highly likely to make contact and although he stopped, the contact is basically a good old fashioned shirt front which the AFL has worked to outlaw, adn for good reason, just like sling tackles.

Was thinking the same...although wasn't it Rance who was crucified in the media and it continued for weeks, including the mandatory 'booing' at games. And his was just an overexagerated push that compared to what we have seen since... Just more how our players get treated differently.

Yes it was, and then the narrative changed when Dangerflop did his dives.

No consistency at all, MRP don't help when they say they can fine one person to discourage all.

Is Mabior Chol still eligible for the Rising Star award?

caro reckons her favourite for the afl ceo position is benny gale but the afl commision have problems with him :drunk:

of course.. imagine how swiftly he would sweep through the corruption there

We don't want to see diving rewarded but when a blatant push in the back by Hawkins is not paid you can't really blame players exaggerating contact.
According to billy brownless porkins nudged him in the side with his elbows
