A superb result for us.
Could not ask for better.
If St Kilda won, they would have replaced us in the eight.
St Kilda lost, but minimised the percentage gain towards the end.
Time to pole-axe North.
stats smats.... but if we can do north by 50 odd and freo do swans by 4 goals, we can lob in 7th

Anyone still upset we said bye bye to Butler and Higgins? They are both absolute cats. I’m just glad they can make another teams supporters melt with their selfish play and complete lack of anything resembling hard nosed footy …. imagine dealing with any combo of Castagna, Aarts, Higgins and Butler every week !!…. 2 spuds is enough. And at least Castagna and Aarts are cheap and try their guts out …. albeit with no ability. Butler and Higgins have some ability but no heart.

Flop pies will win only 2 more games for the rest of the year . You heard it here first .

They will also be out week 1 of the finals .
Not a bad call. No easy wins left for them in the last 6 weeks. They got some of the top teams at the right time (Melb, Freo) and went on a roll by beating lower teams. Their draw gets a lot harder from here

It was a ten game streak that broke club records, established a new power side in the AFL and set St Kilda on the way to a new and exciting chapter in the history of this mighty side.

Fresh from a stirring victory over Geelong in the 2004 Wizard Cup, the Saints of Grant Thomas would quickly establish themselves as a powerful and cohesive unit, capable of beating the very best.

There would be thrillers like the last gasp win over Brisbane. There would be exhibitions of sheer footballing magic like the one sided destruction of Carlton and the West Coast in successive weeks. In the premiership year of 1966 St Kilda won the first eight games. In 2004 they would string together 10 in row.

These are those ten wins under skipper Lenny Hayes featuring the great youngsters of the calibre of Nick Riewoldt and Justin Koschitzke, Luke Ball, Nick Dal Santo and Xavier Clarke. The veterans Robert Harvey, Fraser Gehrig and Aussie Jones and stars Aaron Hamill.
