Honestly like watching GWS play. Good skills, gamestyle, smart decision-making, know when to go for goal and when to share the ball inside 50, can score and defend, and can win contests. Their list make-up is a good mix of talls, smalls, outside mids, and big-bodied inside mids. Even their big-bodied mids are explosive and aren’t plodders.

Adam Kingsley would be loving how everything is going for him there.

💯 - we see a lot of them on 📺 up here and, at the risk of stating the obvious, they’re an impressive outfit. It’s hard to find a weakness. They just move the ball too quickly, and with too much skill, for the modern, flooding defence to be effective.

There is a massive gulf in skill level when you compare with the Tiges. The game has evolved into a game of keepings off and to execute well you have to have excellent skills. Even our handballs miss their target and on numerous occasions don't even make the short distance without the ball hitting the deck. We tend to kick to a stationary target whereas GWS are good enough to consistently nail kicks to moving targets.

Until our younger players who do have decent skills gain the necessary experience it's going to be a case of us continually giving the ball back to the opposition due to skill errors resulting in being punished on the scoreboard.

It's frustrating to watch but just part of the transition from where we were to where we need to be to challenge the better teams. Alot of pressure on the recruitment team to draft the right types of players who will be able to execute gamplans via better skills. If they get it right then hopefully our transition to a dominant team once again will be a relatively short one.
