how did the scats get such an easy draw ? they finished above us meanwhile we get completely shafted
They are the AFLs darlings .....cant have them struggling.....remember the narrative when we were recruiting Lynch ...the media carrying on that a premiership team shouldn't be able to do that .....but the handbaggers land Cameron and its brilliant recruiting.....not to mention numerous rules changes led by that piece of shit Hocking and that weasel whateley about the state of the game.....AFL and the handbaggers are in bed together ...both vile pieces of shit !!! ......fook both organisations !!!

Yes, but we haven't even started our rebuild yet. IT could be a cold decade

Don’t buy into the media narrative.

Hawks have been rebuilding for a few seasons, yeah? On their list they have 25 players 23yo or under. 19 have played senior footy.

Crows have been rebuilding for 5-years… they have 23 players 23yo or under and 17 have played senior footy.

Eagles have 25 players 23yo or under. 18 have played senior footy.

Roos have 24 players 23yo or under. 20 have played senior footy.

Tigers have 22 x players 23yo or under. 18 have played senior footy.

We’ve also had the most debutants of any team over the last 3-seasons. So I’m not sure why anyone thinks a ‘rebuild’ of our list hasn’t started? It’s just buying into the media narrative.

As a comparison, here is what a ‘non’ rebuilding list looks like:

Pies have 14 players (we have 22) 23yo or under and 8 (we have 18) have played senior footy.

Cats have 19 with 12 having played senior footy.

Demons have 19 and 12.

Lions have 17 with 9 having played senior footy.

Carlton it’s 15 and 8.

So our playing list is much closer to a ‘rebuilding’ club than an established one who is contending.

Just because we haven’t been to the very bottom and had a raft of top-10 picks doesn’t mean we haven’t been well and truly rebuilding with youth.

And given we have a very strong draft hand this year and look likely for bottom-4, our list will take another huge step towards youth in the off-season.

Hawks have reason to be a bit concerned … Mackenzie at pick 7, Ward at pick 7, DGB at pick 6. DGB looks a bust. Mackenzie isn’t coming on and Ward has gone backwards this year. Then there’s other top-30 question marks from recent years : Maginness, Seamus Mitchell, Downie (pick 35 and already delisted), Butler, McDonald….

If we nail this draft (get 3-4 quality kids) I am very comfortable with where our list sits for the future. If we stuff this draft I’m not sure we have enough high quality youth coming through.

But don’t believe the media hype our rebuild hasn’t even started.. it’s just BS.

Almost everything they say is BS. They always have an agenda (usually at the behest of the AFL), so it's very difficult for me to believe a word they say.

He was asked about Richmond's injury list in the last minute of the interview. He said that it's important to have your best players playing, Richmond fans have something to hope for and "they're a really good club". There you go - just saved you 16 minutes of your life

I may have misread this but pretty sure he is/was a Tigers supporter.

I don't believe the media's hype. Nor yours.

I've been saying since round 18 2021 that this teams window is closed and we need to start rebuilding now otherwise the arse is going to fall out. Where we are is exactly where i said we could end up. What you are saying, i do not see. At all.

I'd hate to say it, but i see very few scenario's where we win another flag by 2031

cfl has a certain year in mind for when we are next allowed to win a flag

if we make finals in the next 5 years they will make sure we are out quickly and swiftly just like farc gate 2022
