apparently the ratings on the weekend were near enough to the same as pre-covid numbers but afl's puppets are already pushing for a change since they didn't match the numbers of when everyone in victoria was sitting at home watching

Pretty sure Eddie was saying the next TV deal would come with the Network wanting a Night/Twilight GF.

Few times on the weekend I noticed how terrible the broadcast of the game was, not sure if it was on purpose, but when on the far side of the ground they tended to use a camera which was zoomed out making it hard to tell what was happening.

How does Gerard explain all the Day GF's that have rated their socks off for 70yrs? The game was over 5 minutes into the first quarter. No one watched

And lets not forget that everyone in Victoria has been in lockdown the last 2 GF's. People going to BBQ's and Pubs would have been off the charts this year. The BBQ I went to had north of 30 people all watching the one TV. And everyone in Sydney probably weren't watching even before their team forgot to show up. Those things probably don't suit the narrative to push it to twilight next year followed by a full night game the year after. The ironic thing is that ratings will probably go up despite less people watching because more people will watch at home rather than going out. Or they've already passed out and left their tv's on. Be sure to switch to the rugby before you pass out!

Yeah thats actually what i thought when then released the numbers. It looked like there was about >5% drop off & considering their was a deplorable league scandal dropped a few days before the game & the teams involved were hardly arch rivals nor interesting to neutrals - it was a fairly expected drop i thought

For example, when Scott repeatedly said they decided to go all in and double down on the things they were doing well, he didn’t mean running patterns or skills or anything like that…..what he meant was the best ability the Cats had was the ability to know any new rules and interpretations well in advance of other clubs, so they decided to double down on new rules and interpretations.

Imagine supporting a club that just won the hollowest flag in history and looking to blame those pointing out how hollow it is for it being hollow. Very odd supporter base.
