Going to preface this by saying I'm non religious and find religions hilarious for the most part. But I actually feel sorry for this Essendon CEO. Last I checked nearly all religions are against gays, abortions, and some treat women worse than dogs. Why are they singling out his religion? I recall the Pope telling all those 3rd world followers not to use condoms at the height of AIDS, don't recall them being in favour of abortions either or gays. But no one picks a fight with that massive institution. Rances religion has finally been exposed as never having reported a single case of abuse EVER worldwide, and now thousands of coverups have been exposed where elders were moved elsewhere and hushed up. Why are they picking on this CEO's Church for using words that are practically the same as every other religion. Yet turning a blind eye to other religions that actually destroy people. Typical gutless hypocrites.

Think a lot of people have got confused over what the issue is here.

The AFL and the clubs have an inclusion policy, so you can't have the CEO of a club like Essendon having personal views and holding a similar position in another organisation that are in contradiction of each other, it would be hypocritical to say the least.

Essadon have weighed up the pros that an ex NAB head honcho, subject of royal commissions, cult church leader would bring to the club vs cons of support for the appointment by members microwaving their memeberships; dumping truckloads of manure at the hanger.

Mixing religion and football is not good and I was never comfortable with Pell involvement at RFC I'm not comfortable with national anthems at football games but I shut up and wait for it to end.
