Only if it turns out that a club's got in his ear and put him up to it but not if he's just said it of his own accord -at least one or two kids do it every year.

Notwithstanding their rubbish onfield performances atm, why wouldn't you want to go to West Coast? They're a massive club with 100k+ members, more wealth than even us or Collingwood, a traditional footy state, and let's face it they're never down for too long. And when they go, they tend to go big - have they ever gone for a player's full career at the club without getting them a flag?
Surely he wouldn't pick North or even Hawthorn before the Eagles?

If Reid tells West Coast that he is adamant that he will return home as soon as he can then they will have to baulk. Clubs like to back themselves that they will love it at the club and change their mind but don't know if West Coast can rely on that.
A big man wont give much value in the first two years so you are just easing him into the system for another club.
