Not only the umpires, the commentators too.

Whoever the campaigner was (might have been Hamish), whilst having Collingwood cum dripping down his chin made a stupid unsubstantiated comment that Collingwood were the Box Office darlings having had over 1M people per year watch them on 27 occassions, whilst the rest of the competition combined had achieved that feat only 24 times!! Choke on the load next time campaigner!!

If the campaigner had bothered to do his research, this is what he would have discovered. Since 1980, not adjusting for additional games like finals, this is the tally: Collingwood 24, Essendon 20, Richmond 9, Carlton 8, Hawthorn 6, Geelong 5, St. Kilda 4 WCE 3, and Adelaide 1. The combined total of the "rest" is 57.

Much of the above equates to team performances and also fixturing anomalies; whilst no one will doubt Collingwood is a huge club (fueled by an army of single digit IQ morons!!), lets have some perspective.

Obviously not whilst the commentators and umpires lips are parched and backs are arched!!

Lies, damn lies, and statistics.
