The current top 4 are the worst ladder leaders I’ve ever seen.
Comparatively, Richmond only trailed at 3-quarter time 5, 4, 7, and 4 times from 2017 to 2020 respectively. Trailing 9 times at 3-quarter time before the season even ends is a lot.
Has anyone who followed the game for a while seen a worse top 4?
- Collingwood’s only there because of their 4th quarters (they’ve trailed 9 times at 3-quarter time this season, which is just as much as us this year)
- Port Adelaide get their ass kicked way too many times. They also trailed at 3-quarter time as much as us.

- Melbourne pretty much only have Gawn and a good defence (just look at this game). I’ll give them a decent midfield, but their forward time has holes.
- Brisbane actually have the most balanced side, but they’re so flaky and mentally weak that they struggle to even beat bottom teams away (lost to Gold Coast ‘away’ by 41 points!).
