I think we need to get away from the you are soft if you retire after a few serious headknocks.

I think the AFL has been taking it seriously I've never seen them change the rules so quickly after an incident they even challenged the MRO by taking it out of his hands and sending it straight to the tribunal.

In saying that if i am Brayshaw's lawyer i'm seeking compensation payout for early forced retirement this guy had 5-year contract still. and he likely only get this years salary.

Need to sue Maynard and the Pies as well.

If Dimma was still running the show then I'd say there was more of a chance it could happen, however, with Yze I just don't think he would want to take the chance being a new coach. He has more things to worry about then also adding a player you have to manage.

Wouldm't be surprised to see the AFL make an exception and either the AFL pays out the rest of the contract under some sort of insurance or allow melbourne to pay it outside the cap

Many clubs would be looking at buying low, a lot will be depend on the investigation and what Thomas has actually done. We have taken a chance on players in the past, we looked at bennel, got Yarran and drafted Pickett. Having Mansell already at the club is something that might work in Thomas' favour as well

If the boys were on the nose beers at my footy club I'd have known about it. It's not like they check out and all go their seperate ways after training or match day, they're out on it together all the time.

Brayshaw has issued a statement with no mention of legal action.
He will also have an off-field role at the club.
