There's a conflict in every human heart, between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil. And good does not always triumph. Sometimes, the dark side overcomes what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature. Every man has got a breaking point. You and I have one. Walter Kurtz Adrian Dodoro has reached his. And very obviously, he has gone insane.

We just need to put an offer on the table and say take it or leave it.
No way should we go back and forth with this lot.
That’s the problem we always pussy foot around and end up paying overs.
It should be short shape and shiny... pick 50 something or **** off.
It’s like us picking up Robbie at pick 50 something he had talent but big injury problems for us it worked out but normally those sort of players end up being delisted Quick smart.
To be honest if they wouldn’t take a third rounder for him I would be happy to walk away and wait till he’s a free agent.

First round is comical. If pick 26 was on the table, Port should remove it entirely based on how ludicrous that request is. Offer a 4th round pick and end the conversation.

Dodoro has stuffed too many clubs around for too long to waste time on. Now he has an exodus of players and will struggle due to his horrible negotiations over the years.

Play tough. If it means we don't get Orazio, so be it. He messed us about last year. Now we should only take him for cheap.

He coulda had class, he could've been a contender. He could've been somebody.

Essendon wont stop asking for a first round pick...

"An end-of-first round compensation pick for free agent Joe Daniher would not count as one of the two first-round picks Essendon must use over a rolling four-year period at the NAB AFL Draft."

"It means the Bombers, who will be one of the busiest clubs in the trade period, will not be allowed to trade their first pick (No.6 overall) this year or next year's future pick until they get another one in, likely meaning that a deal for Giant Jye Caldwell will have to wait."

Suck eggs. Fantasia is not remotely close to a first round value, and Essendon can kiss Caldwell goodbye. Their problem, not ours.

I thought they were considering matching Brisbane, to trade one or two of their late first rounders? Or force Danihers salary up to first round.

Maybe I missed something here... but I can’t see Brisbane not taking Daniher... Dodoro loves it - loser

I recall last year I think it was that Hawthorn didn’t have 2 rolling first rounders and the AFL just... let them? Because apparently they wouldn’t be disadvantaged and knew what they were doing. A different set of rules for different sides. If we take a look at how Hawthorn are doing now they’ve genuinely lost the plot due to their lack of drafting and developing talent.

That's Dodoro's opening bid. As expected he's overvalued the worth of a Bombers player. Didn't he also say that they'll trade Fantasia to Adelaide if Adelaide offer a better deal. As if Fantasia is going to change his mind. Dodoro has a weak hand, and Port know that.

Dodoro likes to play the tough negotiator but I've seen him capitulate before. I have enough faith in our recruiting team to know the Bombers won't be getting a 1st round pick.

Counter-offer: A first rounder and Bonner for Ridley, Merrett & Fantasia

Weren't Essendon going to match the Daniher bid and then screw over Brisbane in a trade? Then there's Carlton and Saad.
