Yes that’s precisely the point I’m making.
 
Less than 5 months age difference between Steene and Barnett and Harry,s been on the radar far more than Oscar who has virtually just hit the scene.
I know I wanted Harry also but I still think we got the better bargain in Oscar, as I said hardly any difference in age but Barnett has played at a higher level than Oscar so more exposure but much higher cost.

As the west Adelaide coach said Oscar may surprise people as an aside they both played for Goodwood Saints so they are probably both very familiar with each others games.

I am really looking forward to VFLthis season with Oscar if he makes a strong showing we may not have to chase Ned Moyle.
 
Really happy we’ve added this kid to the list. Was excited by his highlight package leading into the draft and wouldn’t have been disappointed if we’d taken him in either the ND or RD. Hopefully he has a long career ahead of him.

For the VFL Team that got Beaten by about 10 Goals I thought Oscar did some nice things.

Did some good Tap Work and Clunked a Few Good Marks
 
Agreed. I thought he competed quite well. Took a nice mark. Was pretty competitive in the ruck. Rotated between ruck and forward with our vfl ruck we had playing. I believe the one that we played in the intraclub

 
I been Quite Impressed by Steene.

Rucks Wells,Can Take a Mark,Big Leap and has good Skills and can be good Defensively.

Body not AFL Ready but good to see him play well in the VFL
 
Was very impressive. Took a few marks. Won the hitouts. Had some tackles. His aggression, contest work was evident. Just a real competitor. He has played v men before in the SANFL, but he just adapts really well, and thrives on the 1st ruck role.
 
Can’t hear Steene’s name mentioned without thinking of this opening theme to a TV show my kids somehow found redeeming value in.

I think he could possibly play 5 to ten minutes a quarter in the ruck to give Mcstay a chop out.I don’t like the idea of Johnson playing in the ruck.Too small.

Nice idea but I don't think we can justify adding a ruck that can only play 5 or 10 min to give a chop out. If he could take 50% of the load and make a contest I'd consider him , otherwise we are better if with Reef McInnes in the side and mcstay full time ruck
