Worst AFL season in living memory, ending in another Geelong flag and grand final mauling. I only have the Brownlow to watch this September and the 2024 Spring Racing Carnival is around the corner.
Add to that we are not even in September at all and Ollie Henry is going to be a premiership player.
The AFL is dead if Geelong wins the flag and signs Bailey Smith which is all but certain.
Last time Geelong were in the GF it was the lowest rated grand final. Nobody outside Geelong fans will care about them winning another flag. It will be a Geelong-Hawthorn era of dominance in the next few years.

Take the positive out of this , Geelong were exactly where we are now, this time last year .
It gives us hope for next year get a fit checkers and mcstay tinker with the game plan and we can bounce back

Best they've looked all year. Look very good. But this is way too high scoring to be considered a representative finals game.
Could you see them beating two of Gws, Swans, Brisbane on the trot? They still have a few weak players on the field

My thoughts exactly.
We have the side, but we need the troops back, a slightly easier draw and the hunger to avenge a wasted year.
The comps’ very even - we should turn 12-2-9 into at least 15-8 next year….
much prefer to go after Bergman .. younger, better aerially, has a strong leg on him and OOC end next year
Houston is older, longer existing contract & will be too expensive trade wise at this point
