Don't disagree with you Leather I think your on the Money with that Call regarding Moyhu ..All I'm asking is when does a Team elevate to Champion status .. Interested in opinions .. I think it needs to be judged on Premierships won by what is a side that is represented by a nucleus of Players probably over a 5-7 year Period . Premierships and Grand finals over this period would really need to be something like 5 Grand Final periods with 3-4 Victories ....Thoughts ???????
Purely out of interest... Saw Tatong and Swanpool are organising a day of footy and netball on May 23 (O&K interleague bye) at Swanpool where the clubs will play games against each other. Thoughts? I know it’s been spoken about time and time again…
Gees people will jumping out of the trees to come watch that blockbuster when you can watch the best players from the leagues go head to head against each other

Not much to think about really, two communitues that are passionate about footy and netball getting together to have some social matches and a bit of fun, thats what grass roots footy is all about, which is a concept that the coats at AFLNEB have no idea about.

How will they be able to field two teams? Most of the players have moved on to other clubs and for the ones that aren't playing interleague you wouldn't think their coaches would be too keen on the idea. Plus, why are they playing against each other? Didn't they merge? I think it's about time they move on. Sick of hearing about it.
For starters as Midfielder said its about two communities having a social game - pretty sure there are no laws against that. Both clubs have over 100yr history so just maybe its not exclusively for the most recent playing group but for the many that have played in the past as well. Both clubs hosted legends games last year for their own communities so this is really no different to that. The offer has been put out to past players currently at other clubs if they are keen but they are really not expected to play for the reasons you mentioned. Pretty sure most clubs have intraclub match ups preseason so for a merged club you could consider it a 'origins' social game. The game of choice next time could be tennis as both communities have a tennis club, this time round its footy and netball. Not a big deal, no alterior motives, just a community social event.

I would go and watch this game before the interleague any day of the week. Two clubs keeping their history alive by playing a one off social game, how is that offensive to anybody? If you don't want to go, don't! I have no affiliation with either club, but I may just sneak down for a frothie (or 2)!! P.S - not all supporters/committee members from O&K clubs agree with the VCFL's decision.

Heard there was only a dozen at the most recent interleague training. And is anyone else wondering how Bright seniors beat North Wang by 147 points but Bright reserves only scraped past North Wang by a single point?

Doesn't sound very promising, I thought with the coaches nominating players might generate a bit more interest... I guess not.
From what I read in Monday's paper I can only assume that the senior team pinched 6 of the better players to replace the 6 that are a possibility of returning into the seniors this weekend. Who knows, maybe north wang had a day out

I find it disappointing when players aren't interested in representing their league. I think it is a huge honour to be able to play with the best in the competition under the leagues logo, especially if you are in good form and the coach puts your name forward. I suppose a lot of players want a week off to rest up, go away or hit the sauce.

By the looks of Nth Wang they have a heap of fringe senior players hand full of senior players No guns making for strong 2nds team and ordinary seniors! I wouldn't be surprised if bright rested a few i reckon they will beat Milawa should be a great game. How's Vally beating Bonnie Doon think something strange going on down there shit load of signings still way off the mark. My tips this week.

Considering Bright were meant to be the big challengers and glenrowan dismantled milawa and smashed an improved moyhu yesterday with 8 of their best out can anyone forecast what's going to happen later on in the year ? Is there a twist ? Or do glenrowan just run away with it . I understand Nigel Robinson hasn't even played yet except a cameo quarter here or there .

Right now it looks as if it's in the bag for Glenrowan. Regardless of the weekend's result I still see Bright as the biggest threat for the Tigers, but that threat does look as if it has diminished somewhat.
