I actually have a lot of close mates that play or are associated with Greta. It is a fantastic club with an excellent culture. I'm not sure why there is so much hate towards them. By the sounds of it, their people and club sound a lot more welcoming than some of the other people on here.

We're all just country footballers trying to get a kick on a Saturday and make sure our clubs are what they are supposed to be, good enjoyable places for people of all ages to be.
I don't understand why there is so much finger pointing and hate towards clubs that aren't winning by 100 points every week.

Interesting point of the season 6 Games to go and some real interest in the Final 6 and how it may end up.
Glenrowan , Milawa , Bright and Bonnie Doon will be there but a great fight for top 2 finish , Brights percentage and the fact that Milawa has some tough games coming up , still gives hope of Bright pinching a top 2 finish . Tarra back in form , Whorouly arn't that good and Moyhu's drop off opening up the 5th and 6th position.
I think Tarra will make it and I'll run with this .
Glenrowan
Milawa
Bright
Bonnie Doon
Tarra
King Valley

That means Whorouly and Moyhu will miss . Bright will beat the Valley , Tarra will beat the Doon , Glenrowan straight through and from there that's where my predictions will end . Don't believe there will be much at the end of the day between Milawa , Bright and Tarra . Injuries will play a key .
Baker medal will be either Norman , Stamp , Nightingale ( just gets votes) McGheehan ( although losses will hurt ) .

Any other thoughts ?

Agree wtih your top 6. Dont think there is any chance of Bright being top 2. Milawa and Glenrowan locks for top 2 which gives clear advantage.
Glenrowan not as strong with Coach not playing. They are clear favorite now but a injury or two will see them right back in pack.
Bright will beat Valley and tarra will beat Bonnie Doon in first week of finals. Not sure who will win the following week in Bright vs Tarra. If they have to play eachother again this year that may give us an idea. I think Bright beat Tarra already but it seems Tarra have improved as the year has gone on.
Baker medal unfortunately is becoming meaningless with some of the votes given out in previous years. Hopefully Stamp or McGheenan or Norman do with because they are class.

I reckon the Reason why Greta get attacked is nothing to do with matchday but because the Greta supporters on this site over the last 3-4 years have had plenty to say on other Clubs ... Glenrowan a moral beat King Valley on the weekend with 7-8 out who will be back , who are top liners but I suppose anything can happen on that final day . Can't see Milawa beating them as they know too much about Milawa as those 2 sides have palayed each other about four times a year over the last 2-3 years . The danger on that final day is a smoky they know little about ..Bright may be the ones ?!?!?

I've always tried to respect peoples opinions although I may not always agree with them.
Any idea what's happening with Bonnie Doon? At a distance they appear very "hit & miss". KV did a number on them & now Tarra.

Both those games Bonnie Doon played away and both days were soggy. Fair to say Bonnie Doon struggles in the wet?

Do you think the tarrawingee game was probably a small scare that glenrowan needed Franklin GWS? Or are they just that happy out there that they honestly think the cups already got there name on it

They are missing a few quality players who are out injured atm but in saying that they pushed glenrowan the week before

Arnthe , even if you win every game you will always be challenged along the journey its stupid to think you won't . We'd expect more challenges between now and the end of the year . It just happens and it does remind you that you have got work to do . The focus for the Tiges over the next 5 or so weeks , is to get fitness into a couple who have missed a fair bit of footy , consolidate a top 2 finish and re -introduce to the squad over the next 5 weeks A fit Fox , Potts , Lawrence , Sussyer , Dyson , Maxy , Cheong and Monteith . Loosing Nigel was a blow but he's hardly played a full game all year due to injury but he is very keen to get back and play mid next year .

And very keen to get his teeth in to the Coaching Job for the remainder of this year ,

Does anyone know what happened in the Goorambat vs Moyhu reserves game? I heard police were called twice for incidents off and on the field and apparently the siren went early in the last quarter because of it?

Financial nouse being a bloke going through a divorce and putting money into the footy club so he could hide it from the Mrs? I'm sure we could still be playing at Swanpool if our money grew on trees and bought players in. If all goes to plan with John O'Donohue next week we could be on the right track.
How did meeting go with john O'Donoghue he will put you up the track all right. Watch out for the land mines

He closed down wunghu they had 50 players signed on contracts with 30 of those playing senior football the year before and 5 major sponsors to put good resources into the club and he still said no.i don't want to sound negative but I think your wasting your time good luck

Yeah his shoulder is no good. He is trying to see what he can do to get through the year with it, but no certainty to return to seniors. FWIW I think he will be back in the senior side soon, but probably not in the midfield.
That's very odd that you would risk him playing in the O & K reserves! If he is fit enough to play in the 2's he surely has to play 1's or not at all. I watched a fair bit of O&K last season and the 2's footy is very ordinary at best. I would imagine that he would be more at risk of getting injured playing against a fat old slow has been that could claim a scalp for his club rather than in the 1's.

Who's your top 6 nonch and how do u see the finals playing out?

1 Glenrowan 18/0
2 Bright 15/3
3 Milawa 15/3
4 Bonnie Doon 14/4
5 Tarrawingee 10/8
6 King Valley 10/8

7 Whorouly 9/9

There are two games in round 17 that could go either way that will change positions - Milawa v Bright and Whorouly v Tarrawingee. I have Bright and Tarrawingee winning. If Milawa wins they finish second and Bright third. If Whorouly wins they finish sixth and Tarra is seventh.

In the above scenario I see Milawa and Tarra winning in week one, Glenrowan and Milawa in week two. At this stage Glenrowan looks too good, but I still think Bright is the biggest outside threat. We'll see how Milawa goes against the Tigers next week though.
