I don't have any issues with clash jumpers slim. As I've stated previously, there has been some confusing moments on the field in the past when we have come up against Bright becuase both jumpers are mainly royal blue. The issues generally arise when players are focusing on the ball when it is in the air, and all you can see below you is a sea of blue. Agree that you should know your teammates by their voice, but there are times when you don't have time to think about it and try to knock the ball to your teams advantage based on what you can see in your indirect vision. I haven't seen the designs of the jumpers for the new clubs, but I can't think of any other sides that would have clash issues.I can't see why anyone other than KV and to a lesser extent us, and I don't think we do, should have an issue with Tatongs jumper ( and I'm not sticking up for Tatong ).
This whole "Clash" scenario regardless of which league it's in is absolute crap and is something that was driven by the media to aid the AFL in selling more merchandise, correct me if I'm wrong. After all the VFL / AFL clubs played each other for over 100 years often in attrocious conditions with, for the better part of it, only one umpire who always wore white.
Unless jumpers are that close in colour and design that they are indistinguishable there shouldn't be a need to change them after all BOTH clubs have to put up with it not just one. If you are playing and you don't know who your team mates are or the sound of their voices or what colour shorts your team has on that day then there is a huge on field communication problem that needs to be overcome. Asking for total contrast is a cop out.
I think people need to stop watching the footy show and have some original thoughts.
