Don't forget John has no control on how much money clubs are paying players these days. That is why there is the big difference

Yes and if Tatong & Swanpool where still in the o&k there would have been 400plus point losses and instead of 10 of there Player playing 2 game a week like last year they would need 15

Just compared last years round 1 1st and 2nds results this year 2(16%) games decieded by less than 10 goals last year 3(22%)
9(64%) over 100pts compared to 8 (43%) last year.
Hope this trend ceases or another review maybe called for?
Interested to hear what the new district team looked like today?

Goorambat had a real crack. They've got some good players. Was very impressed with Reaburn, and Skilbeck & Nolan were good too. We might have kicked 21 goals but the guys were made to earn them. The first 10-15 minutes were as ferocious a start to a game that I've seen for a while. Blokes from each team throwing themselves in time after time. Only judging from the results, I'd expect them to be comfortably better than both All Blacks & North Wang.

They were down by 35 points at 3/4 time and ended losing by 116!
 
The bats put up a decent fight today, reaburn and skilbeck were very impressive, think the only thing that let them down was no targets up forward

Don't think much to do with J.O'd. O & K footy a joke again. Just wonder what satisfaction Milawa players felt sat arvo? Part of any sport is satisfaction in defeating good opposition week in week out , me thinks. Wonder what B.Ryan felt. Might as well play Oz kickers.
Seems a few at a few clubs stuffing the lot! What is it with paying "G" grade sports people appearance money? Of course they will take it. Some at $50 - $100 a possession? on sat.
Maybe a few need to reinvest their hard earned $ ( or maybe not hard earned ) in dementia research - better spent and maybe needed.

I reckon the Grand Final Re- match Milawa Vs Glenrowan (considering the one sided matches thus far ) at The Rovers Ground on Anzac day will be a must see clash ..It would be great if both teams could go in un-defeated to this match . Glenrowan do have Tarrawingee Round 3 and Tarra will have something to say about it but anyways ..This should be a cracker and possibly could be the must see game of the year particularly being Anzac Day which is always special and as there are no other games played that day . One to watch any early thoughts on how this may shape up ????


Tips This Week
Tarrawingee will beat an improved Bonnie Doon in a tough contest by 41 points.. Could be closer ?!?!?!
A stung Moyhu to bounce back against Bright in an evenly matched contest by 36 points
Goorambat to account for All Blacks by 79 points
Milawa to beat North Wang by 217 points
In the tough one Greta may be to experienced for King Valley and will by 27 points
Glenrowan should account for Whorouly by 86 points

Mate I'm not sure what the votes were. But if I were to pick 1 2 3 I'd go Scott Glover, Brett Pollard & Chris O'Connor.
Interesting seeing a new coach in action. Nine goals up at half time & Nicko gave a handful of players a fair spray for the ball getting out of the defensive 50 too easily.
He's is one hell of a leader, the guys will only get better as Nicko's game plan becomes second nature to them.
KV will be a challenge this weekend even with the "Brown Dog" amongst us.

Chronicle reporting beautifully again. Tip bright for 4th this season and KV for 9th and KV go out and have 29 scoring shots against them!

Should be great. We will just wait and see if he gets cleared first. Then we will decided if it will be any good.
 
Milawa are an even better side than last year....Faster,fitter,slicker and direct. Ryan must have picked up 40 possies without standing out, he just hunts the footy,$300 or $1200 wouldn't have mattered he's just a class above....New coach has them very well drilled. Conroys, Dunstans and Ryan just take them to another level...And apparently they 3-4 missing????...

You'll find it is only round one, I wouldn't get on your high horse about the tipping just yet....

Milawa and Benalla are also leading the Chronicle's webpoll which is asking which team will win the 2014 o&k premiership...
