The O & M has appointed Corey Lambert as coach of next seasons Inter League side. Lambert won the 1999 Morris Medal and coached North Albury to a premiership in 2002.

Jock and Gooba are both well past O&M footy now, You need to get real Kage ! After Gooba's shocking injury last season, there is a snow flakes chance in hell of him returning to the O&M, as for Jock he knows he's best footy is well and truely behind him but he's smart enough to realise that he can still contribute for Walla.
As for Corey Lambert getting the interleague job, what a disgrace ! Ive been told by many from the Hoppers that a C grade netballer could have coached that 2002 side to a premiership. This is just another example of a good player in their day being a shit house coach ! He must be a smooth talker coz i dont know how anyone could make him the boss of the leagues team. So it will be interesting to see how many hoppers players get nominated but not selected for the interleague team next season :thumbsu:

Was the position advertised as I believe a very successful coach in that field was interested and given his success at interleague and club level may have been worth a chat?

Can anyone confirm that Leigh Mcglynn and Jock Macfarlane have signed on at North Albury yet. Heard they were offered pretty good coin. I know Jock could still get a kick but am unsure about McGlynn... a few years out of the O&M and from all reports he has been in a good paddock.

seen jockage at roi bar the other nite, not sure if he was hangin with the north boys or not tho

No idea I just read about his appointment in todays BMM.

Their is no way Jock or Leigh will be heading to North not for next year anyways!!! maybe the in future not sure!!! but even if their bodies don't hold they have got some great footy brains between them and they know what they are talking about when it comes to footy

Yeah good post Jock or is that you Leigh????;)

Darc.. Whats happening down at rover Land?
Any signings or possible ones yet?

Well the main task has been achieved which is to keep most of the list from last year together. Peter Cristoforo has signed on for another year which is pleasing and Jesse Silver and Steve McIntyre are also going around again. The only real possible loss is Daniel McLaughlin, whilst Peter Taylor has finally packed it in and is going to play back in Cohuna. The club president mentioned Dacca was possibly moving away somewhere next year on presentation night, but Dacca himself didnt look so convinced by this announcement so who knows. Only possible signings I've heard of at this stage are Karl Norman, although speaking to Johnny Mac the other week gave me the impression that he had a few good'uns lined up. I dont think the club is interested in recruiting too heavily ala Wang as the maggies lost a bit of home grown talent due to recruits winning spots over them.

Darc, what is the likelihood of O'keefe taking players to nth wang.. possibly your kids.

There has been talk of possibly a few boys going out with Occa due to his popularity amongst the lads. Fellas like Tim White who played a game or two out at Nth Wang during byes will probs go out but most of my mates and the talented top age 3rds boys look like they will be staying to play 2's. However knowing Occas ability to coerce people I wouldn't write off the chance of him luring a few more out.

Im pretty sure he was the only player from the 1's. there were a few twos players that went but they werent getting a game in the twos that left half way through the year but that happens every year at most clubs. If tim had of stuck it out he would have played 1ns for sure

cheap shot there at wang darc...funny thing is theyre wwalking around with there premiership medallions around there neck...maybe if in the past rovers hadda played their youth they would be in the same position as wang (i speak of when caruso and pasquali were still running around)...wang has 1 more traveller then rovers so i dont see where ur coming from...(cristoforo, webb, silver, mcyntire) vs (trenfield, pell, lord, higgs, clarke) and higgs is homegrown

Im not taking a shot at the maggies, just reflecting the opinions of some people at the club who mentioned it to me. As for Caruso and Pasquali, the fact that they were still running around is that they were still able to have an impact at the standard of footy that was being played. Just because of their age doesn't mean that they werent good enough. If there had of been kids who deserved to be playing instead of them two then Im sure they would have been. I could say they same about Carmody and Henry going on, at the ends of their careers but still good enough to warrant a game over some younger lads at the Magpies. Travellers from Rovers - Webb, Cristoforo, McIntyre, Silver, Nige Hill Travellers from Magpies - Trenfield, Pell, Lord, Clarke, Kirby, Hayse, Van Shaik, Cosgriff. Id say the maggies have just a few more.

Not having a shot ey?
Sounds like the ol' Rovers folk are a tad bitter about the premiership result.
I see you've gone away from the topic of homegrown blokes leaving too.
VanShaik & Hayse train twice a week and Pell Lord Clarke Kirby & Cosgriff train at least 1 time a week.

Anyway enough Maggies/Rovers talk.
Busy time for most club, Has any one herd of Lavi talking to any new boys?

heard the 'sniper' luke bloom has been approached by a few metro clubs - anyone heard such news? would it be big cash??

yeah heard the same thing. Heard A few Eastern league teams and even VFL are chasing pretty hard. I think Nathan Bourke has been pushing it pretty hard...

Not bitter at all. Despite the rivalry between the two clubs I was more than glad to see our mates from across the road win it instead of another team, and Im sure most other Rovers supporters felt the same. And I was disgusted with the treatment that Hoppa got from the Nth Albury thugs as well. Needs to be made clear that I have no ill feeling towards the Maggies, they were deserved winners.
