Clubs need to be ran like businesses, business minded people need to be in control, the sooner NW and the likes figure this out the better. I’ve been approached to run this league, I declined as my ideas once again fell upon deaf ears. You airheads who think the league is in a good spot have no clue, where the hell is the future when there’s no juniors? Eventually there’s no connection back to clubs, I’m fed up, I’ve played my role in the community and command more respect.

You can’t command respect nuffie, it is earned.
And I can tell you right now what’s been done to the league by your old club has left nothing but angst and dismay towards everyone involved, so to demand respect for pushing the league backwards is absolutely laughable.
If it’s not already obvious from the 3 forums you attempt to manipulate, you have gained the opposite of respect and well deserved too.

Not really. Rovers are a good side and I personally enjoyed the game. Was in the rovers rooms post match saying well done to the victors.

Most definitely wasn’t tagged, he’s definitely not the answer for Rovers. They’ll be better off when he leaves next year.

He gets opposition fans in to the change rooms and was responsible for at least 1000 spectators coming out to watch. We didn’t pick him up thinking he’d kick 5 goals a week, he’s worth the 6 points at this stage, but could be squeezed out at the pointy end. It’s the smartest recruiting coup I’ve seen for a long time, it’s about generating money, and he brings a buzz.

Peter Byrne lingered for far too long, we had guys sitting back happy to see clubs struggle. You’ve got hard working men reviving clubs and going all in for the league with no appreciation in return, the ramifications will ripple for years. They need to shut down the entire Wangaratta junior competitions, which I’ve pushed for and been heckled, people can’t see the forest through the trees.

Auskick, then U/14 and u/18s at O&K clubs, if a kids not good enough for a game at one club, drive out to Whorouly for a game, this is the only chance of survival.

There’s only one club in the area that cheated the salary cap and they aren’t in the O&K, as for Sussyer, he would’ve played league football if it wasn’t for injury, was paid well under his market value, Milawa offered him a house and land package at one point.

Any of you old enough to remember when a handshake was all that was needed when recruiting? The scenes changed, ink on paper doesn’t put weight behind a man’s word, the new age money hungry players need to get back down to earth, their heads won’t fit through the chase if the self worth inflated any more .
