Probably the most irrelevant this league had been in years! Little to no excitement about it at all from fans or players alike, it's now just become a pay day for fringe O&M players or players looking for the way out of footy. Very disappointing.

I guess it’s not irrelevant for the 450 footballers, 400 netballers and hundreds of spectators that show up week to week to enjoy some country footy. Sometimes I reckon we get so hung up on the ‘standard’ of the league and comparing to other leagues when we should maybe just enjoy that we have a game to go to.

Or maybe it’s because that moron Geoff, Tennisfan, Larry or whatever lame name he comes up with next has made the forum so toxic just like he did at Glenrowan that no one wants to hear his input on anything so they just keep going about their business.

Looking like he will ton up after 10 games too. Huge effort, probably would be breaking plenty of records with goals per game ratio.

The Tarra V Bright results today are a reflection of where the league is at, sugarcoat it how you want, it’s not enjoyable for anyone. How do we equalise the league? We need some forward thinkers, not people who are happy to sit on their hands and say be thankful you’ve got a game to watch. This current format is unsustainable. Where do Tarra next crop come from? Can’t just rely on the scraps from in town, we need kids, kids are the future.

Scrapping the wang junior league is the first point of call. Nothing will happen though, league will be in a heap in the next 5-10 years. Let’s just hope sides like Moyhu, Whorouly can hold their young players.

It’s a tough one to call.

Bonnie Doon - Bright - Greta - Milawa?
All 4 are good teams with even spread and not too many weaknesses.
I think they match up differently against each other too so could really come down to the weather and who plays who early in the finals.

With a couple of games clear of 3rd Greta SHOULD finish top 2 and Bonnie Doon the same.
So a Bright Milawa matchup first week of finals could be a huge game.
