The Glazers were in charge during a few cup wins weren't they?

Post-Ferguson? Yes, two FA Cup wins and a Europa League.

You’d hate them in charge of Tottenham though? If you had the Glazers all these years, there would be no new stadium.

I guess as long as the customers keep filling the stadium not much will change.
As enic stated upon buying the club, they want to create an entertainment and hospitality business. They've got exactly that.

A football team?

Only important to build it's reputation to a point and then stay in the PL

They started from a higher base but we'd kill for their on field success in comparison
Sure but by that metric they've taken a longer fall. PL Champions to near relegation, versus alsorans to near relegation.

Spurs fans can make it uncomfortable for him but ultimately that's all they can do.

If he's prepared to take the criticism and rake in the money then that's what he'll do.
I think some football fans think that owners are there to bleed their own money into the football club, when realistically they're a for profit business like anything else.

They profit off fan loyalty. Levy paid over 100% or 3.4m more than the next highest paid director.

Some owners go into it for ego and winning.

Some go into it to make money. Spurs has been easy money for Levy for 20 years.

They've made their money invested in directors fees 10x over already. If we were lucky to get a sale they walk away with a billion or so. Don't think anyone could ever match the money these scumbags will make out of their ownership

About a 5m difference between him and the majority in the league
And? That's 96 a week, over say 11 top players you're only going to be able to increase their salaries by 8.7 a week. Not going to make a huge difference is it now?

Judging by the shithole Old Trafford is nowadays the Glazers at Spurs would mean they would still be at a crumbling, rat infested White Hart Lane.

All or Nothing showed Levy is a Jerry Jones style owner who has good intentions but has to have his fingers in every pie in the football dept and can't get away from it because of his own ego.
If he actually got a decent structure below him he could stick to financial mgmt and getting more NFL games. This Johan Lange bloke they have at DoF seems like a dud

Glazers took over a powerhouse Man United in 2005, since then they’ve absolutely ran the club into the ****ing ground, look at the state we’re in.

If Glazers got hold of Spurs back then, jeez, I don’t wanna guess where they’d be right now.

Neither the Glazers or Levy are fit to be owners of football clubs that are supported by people that want football to be the priority.

There should be a statue of Rock of Gibraltar outside the football museum.

Great thread on the ownership structure of premier league teams.

As long as they aren't flushing money down the toilet, they are all doing that.

Again, most owners are.

1. Stop talking sense both of you. It's hard for the shittest fanbase in football to melt appropriately with people responding with common sense.

Worrying about directors fees which wouldn't even buy a shit championship level footballer. Expecting them to tip their own money in like none of the non cheat clubs do.

I also wonder what the wages % that is over focused on would be once removing concert and NFL revenue. From a pure football revenue perspective the % is probably in line with the rest of the league. Increasing it without attracting top talent just leads to signing a bloated squad of players you can't move on due to wages... Like United.

2. Don't bother. Collectively, the shittest fanbase in football won't see reason. Nearly a billion spent in 6 years on players + ~£100m+ per season on wages but there's been under investment apparently.

The last sentence nails it DoF position has been abject.
Getting Port Adelaide vibes from Spurs. And that's not good.
The disdain for Daniel probably is on par with that of Kenny.

Yeah but the Levy equivalent at Port is David Koch. He's the guy that signs off on the contract extensions instead of sacking Hinkley 8 years ago.

I reckon when Mourinho got sacked, Levy should have stepped down also and the club goes in a different direction.

He's paying himself one Bentacur a week more than the average

All for what? The football team that he runs is no good

Mourinho was hard done by. One summer window and it was during COVID when no club had money.

But not long after that we had Conte and Lewis tipped in £150m of his own cash.

Removing Levy while Joe is still owner is futile. They may have to wait for him to die tbh.

Levy does just enough to convince a few idiots he is doing a good job and stays under the radar

After sacking Poch it appeared like went all in to win something for us by getting Mourinho. But when Mourinho wanted Dias and Bruno the window before their Manchester moves who did we get? Joe Rodan and Gedson Fernandes.

Did it again with Conte. Who wanted Skriniar and Bastoni, he got Lenglet on loan instead.

Money was there to spend. Spent it on himself instead

Pay peanuts. Get trophy room cobwebs.
