Current Paddy Moriarty & his dog - Murdered in outback Larrimah

A person of interest in the Falconio case was Chris Malouf, stepson of Brian Roberts. Malouf claimed he was camping nearby at the time of the alleged Falconio fiasco and was also a person of interest regarding a deceased dog which had been found shot and buried nearby a few days after the occurrence....and on and on it goes.
Kurve havent you experienced the dead (sheep) animal misleading people into ignoring other smells?

This is the inquest report on it and i can't find any mention of Murdoch or Falconio anywhere in it.

Having looked at another coroner's report recently, knowing there was a lot of other action going on that led to charges being laid for murder before the inquiry had ended and was on an adjournment. None of that extra detail ended up in the final report, the whole story was absent.

The case has gone to the DPP.

NT Police have now wrapped up their investigation and handed the file over to the Director of Public Prosecutions.

"A file has been submitted to the DPP in line with the recommendation of the coroner," an NT Police spokesman told the ABC.

Mr Moriarty, aged 70, and his red kelpie Kellie were last seen at the blink-and-you-miss-it highway town's Pink Panther Pub, where the pair would often end the day.

As batshit insane as the falconio links sound I could believe it and am keeping my mind open. The falconio prosecution was flimsy at best and it does sound like Roberts step son has been telling some interesting stories at the minimum

Watched this a couple of months ago, great addition to the podcast.worth watching if your interested.

Yeh I want to check in. I love the intrigue of the outback and many think nothing's really going on out there.

Same... I watched after previously listening to the podcast...

Pretty sure the culprit is Owen Laurie, but police don't have enough evidence on him.

Inquest for Paddy no charges to be laid.

  • In short: The NT DPP says there is “insufficient evidence" to lay any charges in relation to the 2017 disappearance of Paddy Moriarty from the outback town of Larrimah.
  • In 2022, the NT coroner found Mr Moriarty was likely killed "due to the ongoing feud he had with his nearest neighbours".

Poor Paddy and his dog. Just pouffe, they're gone and that's it.

Hey everyone, I’m reading the coronial inquest report on the Paddy Moriarty case. There’s a doco on Netflix about it. I’m just wondering if the X’s in this section are kisses? Or does XXXX mean something else? Besides beer.

I reckon the Rayners are good for it. Or the gardner, Owen. Or Bradley Edwards.

Seems like a case where they know who did it, but simply can't prove it in court.
Yep, pretty clear who it was.

It's absolutely wild they've got him recorded singing about it, even down to what was used and how it was done and they're still not able to prosecute.

Paddy seems far from a saint but no one deserves what happened to him.
