Are there any more talented swimmers coming through for the next Olympics?
Of course there are. Are they absolute champions. Only time will tell.

There were 12 x 17 to 20 years olds who went to Paris. They are years away from their peak. Some won relay medals.

The Junior Pan-Pac championships have just finished in Canberra. The yanks dominated as you would expect. World Aquatics juniors are aged, for girls 14 to 17 years old and boys 15 to 18 year olds.

If you are a real champion junior you went to Paris not these championships, but everyone develops at a different rate.

Seems an unfair punishment to send them to Canberra

Pan-Pac Juniors were a bit disappointing for AUS though.

We had about 5 of our teen stars missing (if u compete at the Olympics you can't swim at Pan-Pacs) but US were missing same amount and Canada one or two.

Still a few great swims by some of the Aussie squad but some scary performances by US kids too.

But - across the board - Team AUS didn't inspire as much as in previous years. Hopefully - as it should be - a learning experience for these teens in their first real international competition.
