1996 World Juniors in Sydney was a fun meet to be at.

Australia was doing well with medals but some ups and downs.

Jane Saville's younger sister was heading for a medal but got DQ'd in the final 100m.

Then Budgie took out the Pole Vault for Australia's first gold.

1 gold 1 silver 4 bronzes is first time since won 6 since Mexico City's 2-2-2 result.

Does help there are 48 events vs 36 events but still a stunning result given the age of many of competitors.

Need to keep building for Brisbane 2032.

So it seems the appeal was successful and Stewy is in the final, what would I know haha
He seemed out of it, and the fall didn't really hinder his actual chances but i suppose they put the 4 that got taken out in so he had grounds then to be put up as well

Looks like our women's relay team will be:

Ella Connolly, Bree Masters, Kristie Edwards, Torrie Lewis

Seems they are sticking with the team that broke the NR in London.

Ebony Lane who was part of the team who set two earlier NRs this year has been dropped (and she's not too happy) & young Aleks Stoilova won't be needed.
