The Poles have a big 400m relay programs for both men and women. They don't produce many 400m final starts and stars, but good to see they finally have a medallist in Natalia Kaczmarek.

The winner of that 400m final ran it almost a full second quicker than Cathy Freeman in Sydney 2000. Crazy how these athletes just keep improving.
The hot weather helps.

Sydney was cool September in Oz, which isn't as hot as August in Paris or Atlanta. In the heat of Atlanta it was 32-35 degrees most nights in Atlants and high humidity, and Perec ran 48.25 and Freeman 48.63.

The sprints at night time at the Brisbane Winter Olympics will be affected and I doubt any super fast times will be run at night.

There might be pressure to move some of them to the 12pm -2pm morning session time. US TV would like that, Europe not so much.

The Valerie Vili/Adams affect on the women's shot put with another Kiwi in 1st place, with Maddison-Lee Wesche at half way mark of the fields 4th attempt. She has had 3.

The women's 10,000m final on and once again Ch9 have dropped the ball showing the synchronised swimming instead.

Has Gerard Whateley caught Covid? Why aren't they showing any of the track events on their channels, I'm relying on 9Now.
