I'm really surprised at how well Bernie's doing, considering he came back down here only a couple of years ago because he couldn't get into the Woodville West Torrens team.

Yeah, just look at last year even, then look at this year, or the week end, 30 possessions and 3 goals is elite.
Infact, he is averaging more stats than alot of supposed elite midfielders.
How he will stand up to hard tags is another thing entirely.
if Vince becomes 1st tier next year, he'll attract a tag; only after Scott Thompson of course. Porplyzia won't get a tag, as he's not a huge possession winner like Vince, and Danger will play his first season next year, so he won't attract tags for at least another couple years after that.I start to wonder though, will he ever need to stand up to a hard tag?
I mean, if you have Thompson and Reilly running around, who is going to tag him? If Dangerfield turns out to be the player we hope, and Porplyzia gets his shoulder right, choosing who to tag will be a nightmare for opposition coaches.
It's like how Edwards was able to play the majority of his career without a tag because who was going to tag him before Ricciuto, McLeod and Goodwin?
Couldn't find it on the net, but in today's Sunday Mail there is an article about Bernie Vince regarding him spending time in his home town of Stansbury. He mentions playing cricket on the weekend, where he has made some impressive scores (116 retired) and also done well with the ball. Teamamte Chris Knights also plays for Stansbury every couple of weekends.
Yeh no doubt, but its averages, so it still evens out.Hodge has been dogged by injuries though.
But there is no doubting, Vince has become a player and a half. He basically plays like a mid-sized midfielder but with a barrelling body and a booming kick. Much like a recent captain of ours!
Bernie Vince has switched jumper number from 28 to 17. Vince wears No 17 for SANFL side Woodville West Torrens. Draftee, Aaron Kite, will now wear No 28
Oh great, now I need a new guernsey and have to change my banner!
Bernie played well again last night, good on him.
Also, he was No 17 when he played for the CMS Crows.
I did get around to asking him why he changed, said he's been 17 all his life
He will probably end up looking 17 for the rest of his life.

Bernie lived in my town for about a year and lived across the road from my firend
