No it doesn't. You aren't simming your game, just the AI games. The trick is to sim the AI games before you have your game. Make sure not to let it autosave by taking too long to start your game after simming the AI games though.

oh and when some one quit on me it cut my reliabilty rating in half wtf u need to reset the leader boards ross i no elite mikey said not to but he sucks any way i samsh him all the time ive lost 3 times because of the game frezing which is bull shit plz just reset the leader boards or maybe the game servers might just crash oh and u need to fix the glitch in custom team i can take a custom team online thats over the salary cap

Well I waiting on this patch now. I smashed all side by 250 points so far this morning on legend.20 min quarters suck, 5 mins I get a challenge and lose.

I'm referring to the patch for PS3 and to anyone else who may have had issues lately and not been able to log in and known the patch might be out.

This patch has ruined me.... I cannot play the game anymore.... My players are running in the wrong direction from what I'm pressing....They stop and let the opposition run passed and gather the ball, and they look slow and confused in general....
I thought the only non-cheat related gameplay fix was the jostling....but it seems like tactics, player quality and everything have changed....
I used to dominate....now I'm getting smashed online...
The patch has favoured some gameplay styles, and hindered others.... I need to learn to play in a completely different way. Any tips?

All I can gather is that the Patch favours moving the ball forward much more as its much harder to punch.

It's really not that hard to spoil. It's just taken out the more unrealistic spoils, favouring better positioning and the situation (ie the higher the trajectory, the easier to spoil).
FWIW I find the manual player switching helps immensely when trying to get the right positioning.

Come on, its way harder to spoil than previously. No more being 7 metres in front of the ball drop and jumping massively high.
I don't find it too bad (except when my player runs the WRONG ****ING WAY

I feel that removing custom teams online completely would alienate quite a few people that play the game, but at the same time it is pretty unbalanced as it is with a lot of people using custom teams. Unless there is some way to nerf custom teams, removing them is probably the only way to stop online becoming completely dominated by custom teams.
IMO Custom teams aren't particularly overpowered in general, but when two people are of equal skill level and one chooses to use a custom team, and the other chooses to use a good AFL team like Saint Kilda or Geelong or Collingwood. Neither of them should be at a huge disadvantage. I think what happened in the patch was a pretty good fix in a lot of ways TBH. I'd like to edit Port Adelaide to represent how good I feel they are and be able to play with them (obviously better than reality xD). And it allows groups of people to use the same lists, which is a fantastic thing IMO.
As for resetting the leaderboards... I'm not sure. I'd be in favour of it because it would give me a higher chance of catching up (though I doubt I will regardless) but it may also hurt people who have worked hard to get to the top. I guess a poll is the only way
If you do reset the leaderboards you would also have to either remove exp from badges IMO, or reset badges, because it gives a huge advantage to those that don't already have the badges.
I'd lean towards not resetting, but instead having monthly or weekly leaderboards (if possible).

The only thing I've noticed since the patch is that my players just randomly run off in the opposite direction at centre bounces.

Yea if you move at a centre bounce, the players appear to be sent out of the centre square. It's rather odd.

Make it more rewarding to go the default sides and also going different sides each time. You should get less and less XP if you keep going Collingwood, for example, as opposed to switching to other sides and giving online play more variety.

And for those that like to play the lower ranked teams get punished aswell?
I enjoy playing North, enjoy the challenge of beating the harder opponents.

i thought the patch was supposed to save your selected team lineups and tactics and i feel i'm constantly changing both its annoying cos the time isn't enough to do it in
I've found that if I play my offline season then go back to play online I'll have to redo my team. Other than that, it does seem to save it correctly.
