Just goes to show the role boomer plays in this team. Adams and Harper received more attention with this void.

Patch at times got us going last year.urgently needs him to play well in the most difficult position on the ground.

Was very average today. Just his disposal was way off. Maybe time for a quick spell.

Probably has a lot to do with his 2 shoulder recos..give him a run in the magoos to regain his form of last year.

Are we living in a fantasy land where instead of Gibson and Anthony we have Thomas and Sidebottom on the wings? When Harvey comes back we will finally get to ditch one of those two and we'll be a significantly better team as a result.

Even an out of form Patch is still in our best 22. Dropping him is a luxury we can't afford. We have pretty crap midfield depth.

Not going to be too harsh on him because he had no shoulders throughout the entire pre-season. May need a spell to regain confidence in not only his football but his body.

He's a gem when on top of his game

I've been a massive supporter of Patch, as have most, but he's seriously having a shocker so far this year. I don't know how long he can keep his spot in the side if he's performing like this. Usually his disposal is his strength but it's really letting him down at the moment and he's just not getting his hands on the ball enough

Patch has now used up all his credits. He is a senior player in this team and he is way below par after 5 rounds. He should be the sub or back to the 2s for a few weeks. Boomer comes back in in 2 weeks but we are no worse off paying Jacobs/Gysbert/Sierra giving them game time. The more I think about Patch's output/performance today the more I feel he needs a spell.

I think the guy is the smartest player on the team - or one of - and was pretty mystified at calls for dropping last week.

Hasn't been in sparkling form but is a rare sort if player and a leader on the field. Also when the going gets tough, Patch gets going.
