He has missed a lot through injury the past couple of years. Surely he will stick with Geelong and take the one year deal if that is all they are offering. Would be a bit of a poor end to a career if he walks over something like this. Majority of players after about 30 just get the one year deal each time.

Hawkins did the same and took one. Not worried.

Wants another flag and the Crows is certainly the right spot to get that next year.

so seems like they are still haggling for the second year

you would think 1 year plus a trigger would be what cats want

Wouldn't surprise me if they put a modest trigger in there and it ended up being accepted. Like if they said "play 10 games and you get the extra deal" that's overwhelmingly generous. If he doesn't play 10 games then he should retire anyway.
