What if we don't want terrible steak knives? What if we don't want 3 easy payments of $19.95 (plus postage and handling)?

I never said a deal would get done. I just said Geelong are in a better position than most Victorian clubs to get a trade done if Dangerfield did push for a return home.

He turned down a substantial offer to join Essendon last year. If things don't turn around this year, I imagine he'd reconsider. But then again, if he doesn't turn around his form, he might not have as many offers in his lap.

3. He's originally from Geelong

Mogg's Creek actually, still a 100kms from Geelong. But you are right, I'd say if he leaves Geelong is the logical destination. He's doesn't drink and prefers the beach to the city.

Would rather Menzel (before knee)

Agreed, natural forward who scotty played in the backline early for defensive skills (great coaching), them came back late kiccking 5 against pies. Was my tip for our big player of the finals.

Though in saying this Dangerfield is going to be a gun too

If i was a Victorian club i would be setting aside some salary cap for Dangerfield after next year. I cant see Adelaide doing that well in there first year, things just seem to be getting worst, however you have some very good young kids and how well they come on will determine how well the crows do.

Dangerfield has the " potential " to be a superstar. Im an adelaide supporter and watch him every week and youll see that he drifts in and out of games far to often. In all seriousness though this thread is pointless as Dangerfield will not be going anywhere :)

and then we can alk about how he's going next year. This Dangerfield talk has been constant from when he was drafted and none of it has been initiated by Pat or his family.

I did enjoy a beer with Dangerfield and Watts grand final week in Melb and Watts was carrying on that Dangerfield will be straight to the Dees when his contract is up. Dangerfield did say he was keen to come home and talked about how close he still is with Neil Craig but Watts was the one who seemed more excited!

I guess being a Port supporter It will probably be assumed I am trolling.:p

Just out of curiosity, what type of beer was danger drinking?

Moonious Moon Dog on Trade radio said Geelong were targetting him, but with Sando there and aware, he'll go nowhere....not to mention he never wanted out anyway.

Obvious troll. Patty doesn't drink. :p:cool:;)

Can anyone tell me if there is a player from the Patrick Dangerfield trade playing for adelaide today? Hard to work who got what in the wash but I think there is no one on the field for adelaide from that trade today.

Edit: In a broader context how good would Gibbs, Dangerfield and Sloane be running through their midfield right now? Wow.

I think their first round pick they got Milera who is looking like a good exciting player. With the second round pick they traded for Seedsman who has been injured. Then Gore was the player that went to the Crows from Geelong who has been in the SANFL this year.

No seedsman they traded 32 for which was separate.

The trade was 9 28 and Gore for Danger and 50.

Crows drafted milera at 9 on traded kerridge and 28 for menzel and we on traded pick 50 (which gore was basically swapped for as he was drafted in the 50s the year before) and 53 for zac smith.

So the net trade was danger kerridge and 50 for milera menzel and gore.

My guess now that as wish they had not done the Menzel deal... no idea who they would have picked but TMenzel not worth what they paid on output.

Its funny because troy looked a star at carlton but has never kicked on and daniel is likely to have the longer career of the two (which i wouldnt have predicted 3 years ago). Its interesting when you consider crows traded 28 and kerridge for menzel and carlton traded 28 for plowman phillips sumner and lamb and plowman is the only player out of that lot likely to have a long career.

Thats the taste of sour lemon right there.
Perhaps Troy will move..if he is not being used..its seems he is on the path of a delisted player.

As a regular watcher of the SANFL I'd be shocked if Menzel stays on their list next year. Looks to have decent enough skills but lazy and incredibly soft. As for Gore just wow, not even SANFL standard.
Cats should be in jail for that robbery, made out like bandits

Not sure what has happened to Gore..he looked likely and I was disappointed to see him go. The Menzel deal is separate and is all the Crows own choice. And as far as what we paid..plenty would say we under paid , plenty would say we should have paid nothing..and seen what the a FA situation delivered . The whole concept of RFA is rather discriminatory and Id say some time in the future there will be no RFA. Perhaps the lesser years get comp and the more years get no comp. But thats something for the future , and not what the clubs had to deal with. So the two professional clubs came to an agreement and moved on , as you must in this environment and the Crows have Mileria who looks a good potential player.
