that one dimensional stuff might change when he slots into our developing forward structure

I thought he was a bit one dimensional as well but when I saw him last year in the 2's it wasn't a concern. Kid can play and IMO was better than McKay in most games. He's done well after having an injury interrupted pre season to get a game by round 9. Awesome stuff

So potentially your club's supporters could see this in a few years.

Kerr, McKay, Charlie Curnow and the Silvagni brothers competing with each other while the other end sees Weitering, Plowman, Macreadie, Marchbank and Williamson competing with one another alongside Docherty while De Koning can be developed either way while stepping up to the ruck.
Williamson is a medium sized defender, he would be competeing with Plowman and Doch :D I think that there is room in there for all 6 defenders.

Agreed there... saw a couple of the Bullants games and he was really tracking well... could lead fast, protect the ball drop and his agility wasn't an issue either. He will do well later on today :D

Anyone who's seen Kerr close up will be surprised as to how short he looks for his named height.
Listed at 194 but he just looks shorter and more like 191-192. Maybe it's the body shape that throws the eye out.

Although not a premium mover, he's better than his body shape may suggest.
Haven't seen him live this year yet and if he has improved from last year, we may be surprised.

I really think Steve Hocking and the AFL will act to clear congestion and the ‘density’ in the game over the next few years and so a player like Kerr may come back into vogue.

Blue collar, family oriented, no fancy hair cut, not a pretty boy, confident, relaxed - wont take a backwards step - not a hint of entitlement as much Carlton in his genes as anyone else recruited for years. Good luck and all the best young fella - when in doubt go the biff.

Not ready, but his best is good enough. Today didn't answer the question of if his endurance will ever be good enough, but it did highlight that he's not going to be an prominent player in a pack situation.

Nothing wrong with that, just means he's not going to be that monster forward until his late 20s, if ever. Still think he's a good candidate for re-rookie at the end of the year, though that window is closing given him recently lifting his performances.

In the words of Quigley: "Kerr seems to think he is above the defensive side of the game. I can tell you he is going to be quickly disabused of that notion when he hits the AFL. He is going to get a swift kick up the arse every time he slacks off and I am expecting him to have trouble sitting down for the first half season or so."
none of the others had that kick makiings difference
he and McKay dont have servin efforts
