Paddy's upper body will be huge come 2015. /no Robert Walls

A goal to goal line of McCarthy, Watson, Kreuzer, Henderson and Mitchell would be massive.

I'm really excited to see what we have here. He seems to just be a really smart and skilled player. I can't wait to see a backline with Jamison and Watson at the key positions, a forward line with Henderson and Waite or Mitchell at the key spots, and McCarthy switching between the back and the forward lines. I think he can potentially be really influential playing from a half-back or half-forward flank and using his combination of athletic ability and size to stretch whoever the other team puts on him.

Jury is still out????

I think I know what you mean........but..

Slightly odd comment for a kid 5 minutes into his AFL career.

needed to impose himself physically on a couple of contests in particular......he didn't shirk it at U18 level, so hopefully that will develop with two pre-seasons in the gym

Big Lad..

Why doesn't my 2011 buddy look that big on the TV? :D

McCarthy looks big in isolation, but skinny next to seasoned footballers...Style looks more like a Harry Taylor with his mobility, reading of the play and ability to mark their kicks inside 50...Watson will be the man mountain with Harley's or Lake's build.

If in 4-5 years we have Watson at FB and McCarthy at CHB I feel we will have a formidable defense. They compliment eachother in style with one being the more body on body defender relying on strength and spoiling and the other a more athletic type relying on speed and hurting the opposition on the rebound with strong marking and quick ball movement.

I loved what I saw of in at the championships and was stoked to snag him at pick 33, it was a real bonus. His skills are pretty good and he holds himself well in one on one contests and with a few more preseasons in him he is going to be a beast of a man. He has the body that will fill out, you can see the frame already building after his first limited preseason.

Alot to like about the kid and our drafting as late.

Some outstanding photography clearly :p

Patty's legs are abnormally small. Could end up like Fletcher..

Snowflake's hope in hell, unless trade talk involving a certain Crow's midfielder:D
Let's get back to reality for second.

We'd probably do a player pick for him, as I don't think we'd offer our second. probably McKernan or Knights would be on the table, though McKernan has shown more than McCarthy so far.
