AFLW 2024 - Round 10 - Chat, game threads, injury lists, team lineups and more.
I went to the first night, but am now very jealous of the set list from the second night! It was epic. I was in the golden circle tonight and god they were so good still.
I didn’t know this til after but the first night had a better setlist for me - lots of favs like Corduroy, In my tree, Just breathe, Hail, state of love and trust which weren’t played tonight. But we did get Black into Rearviewmirror which was nuts. RVM was the best song of the night.
Then you were well catered for. It was a great show but my only (mild) criticism is that is was basically just their new album and music for fans that stopped listening after Yield. I love the classics but wouldn’t have minded a couple more from the 2000s.Went tonight despite only knowing their early stuff was an awesome show
I quite liked the new songs - they sounded great live, but yeh for the audience as a whole it was not as well received as the older stuff (as is to be expected).Had a great 2 nights, stood probably 15meters away from front for both shows. (1st show centre, 2nd show on Mike McCready side)
Probably enjoyed the Monday night a little more as the weather was much more bearable.
1st show highlights - Why Go opener, Hail hail, Not for You, Garden, State of love & trust and Mind your Manners.
2nd Show highlights - Porch early in the set was a surprise, Last Exit, Deep, Light Years, daughters its OK tag, Black & Rear view Mirror.
Although most of the new songs sound very good live, Seemed to lull the crowd a bit, as you would expect from a stadium show, there are many casual fans wanting the hits.
What makes the Pearl Jam experience great, You never know what you are going to get, much more exciting than the standard choreographed show.
Mc Cready is a weapon!
