Pendlebury or Gibbs?

Just quit while you're behind.
Behind? I simply stated that opinions of someone can never be wrong and all hell broke loose. The only issue here is what people think the word "opinion" actually mean.

At least now I know smiddaz123 has nothing on me after his latest quotes. Do you know how to pick a joke or do you take everything you read at face value?

MDC. You cannot say my opinion is wrong because it is a personal perspective (as stated before) and someones perspective on a matter is not a right or wrong thing. If you do not agree with me then that is fine. Then you do not agree with my opinion.

I must admit I have enjoyed all of this :).

Pendlebury wasn't thrown into the leadership group when he was drafted, he earned his spot as VC through actual leadership on and off the field. :thumbsu:

So exuding the levels of leadership that Gibbs did in (only) his first preseason as a bottom-aged player, and managing to maintain his position in said leadership group is a testament to how poorly he marshalls his side.

Not to mention his appauling onfield performance which is comparable to that of Pendlebury.

I'm in no means saying Gibbs is the better of the two in playing ability or leadership, however an absolute statement like TRS' about 2 young players, both of whom share similar credentials, is illogical.

And it's adorable how you continue to try to claim to be entirely neutral.

Here's a tip. Nobody is entirely neutral. Everybody has a bit of bias in their opinion.

Also, I say Buddy Franklin doesn't kick enough goals. You will disagree.

According to your logic, your opinion is bias and 'useless' because you support Hawthorn, and my opinion is neutral and therefore is a better one.

And in reference to the bolded part, I think another issue is what you think the word 'consistency' means. It really seems like you either have a misinformed definition of it or you lack football knowledge. Either one is believable.

This thread is freaking ridiculous. It's basically a Collingwood v Carlton thread.

If you want to have a Pendles v Gibbs vote, it shouldn't include votes from Collingwood or Carlton supporters.

But seeing as though it's not, here's my 2c. I feel that Pendlebury will have an incredible year if he can withstand the pressure of seemingly running the Pies' midfield. He's the best kick in there, arguably the best in close...

Gibbs doesn't have to deal with this pressure. He has Judd/Murphy/Stevens in there as established guns who will enable him to have a more free flowing game.

Because of this I don't think you can really compare the two side by side. Barring injury I think both should have outstanding years.

-Oh and Swan/Thomas/Didak don't help Pendles at all?
-On top of that; Gibbs is given the extra pressure of doing negating roles on the oppositions best player some weeks e.g. Goodes in the Sydney game (where he kept him to 14 disposals:D)
-how is having to tag someone else gonna make his game more 'free-flowing
-Yes, yes i see it now; Pendles has it SOOoo much harder..

Thomas and Didak are both outside forward flankers who spend some of their time in the midfield. Didak is one player who hardly applies any pressure whilst without the ball.

Judd/Murphy/Stevens > Swan/Thomas/Didak

One game does not equate to some weeks. By the way, didn't Carlton end up losing that match? Just shows that Goodes contribution means bugger all in bigger scheme of things.

Your lack of understanding disturbs me greatly.
