Problem with Fifa is you had to manually do that and the mentality would also affect how the players play. In pes you can set the formation to change automatically with game phase so I don’t have to constantly change it back and forth whilst the players mentality stays the same.

I think the feature is much more useful and you can be more creative with it in PES and it requires much less micro managing than it does in Fifa.

Also not sure but I’d assume no. I’m not a ultimate team/my club fan so I haven’t really looked into it plus I play on Xbox anyways.

I’ve only played a couple of games of master league and I disabled the first transfer window so I haven’t signed anyone yet. Have you signed anyone good?
 
Nah, I need to start again because I left the currency in Yen and I missed where you could change it.

I did have a quick look and noticed Jesus, Shaqiri and Sancho were listed which was very unusual. But I will roll with it haha.

Need to strengthen CB, CM/DM. And probably up top too. Not sure who I'll look at.
 
Looks like there a few bargains in the free agency bin. Found El Shawary and a few other good names there.
 
Got my copy today but had to fight for it. It wasn't on the shelves at JB but I preordered so checked at the counter. While I was waiting I saw one copy tucked away behind the counter. They couldn't find a record of it coming in but I pointed it out and after a few people had a chat they handed it over.

EB is opposite and I had a look there but it wasn't on the shelves either. Keen for a crack over a few beers shortly.

I've fired up ML and ready to go. Played my first match against Atletico and lost 1-0. Hit the post twice and had some great chances. Then they started peppering my goal before I conceded.

mike123 gonna sign Upamecano I think (about 40m), and not sure who else. Need to sell some players. Looking at Haidara as well for the midfield but I don't think he represents good value for money.
 
Enjoying it so far. The game will take some getting used to as I play Manual and the passing feels slightly different.

The servers were down when I started so I went Cardiff with the originals and drew Reading 0-0 first up. Not sure if I will continue it but ML should be good this year.

In MyClub I got Rakitic and Ziyech from my startup spins which I'm happy with. Beat Italy 1-0 in the weekly cup but I'm down 0-2 at half time vs Germany second game. My defending for the 2nd was garbage though.

Loving the game though. After playing FIFA for a few months earlier this year the gameplay on PES is far more enjoyable.

I’m fairly lost at what to do with the squad atm. I need to sell Khedira, Cuadrado possibly but he does offer good cover along the right flank.

Need a quick LCM that works well in wide areas to cover for Ronaldo cuts inside. Rabiot is playing that role okay but is a little slow for what I want.

Also have no idea how to intergrate Dybala into the side. He works ok as the sole striker, scores and sets up a few goals but Higuain works better becuase of his extra strength.

Given Ronaldo doesn’t track back having Dybala as a striker leaves me two players up front that are easily pushed off the ball.

I think I just have to get better at quick passing to get them to work.
 
One thing I’ve noticed is player switching completely stops the players momentum sometimes. Even if your still holding the stick in the direction the player is moving. It’s annoying and I’ve conceded too many goals becuase of its.

It’s still miles better than Fifa’s good old concede a goal because the game wanted you to though.
 
Have signed Upamecano and Kessie for my ML.

Kessie has been really good, solid body in midfield. Hasn't score or assisted, but his physicality is very useful.

Guendouzi is smashing it, Laca and Pepe too. My front three is a joy to play with.

Trying my best to get rid of Xhaka, Mustafi and Ozil. Though Ozil has been OK when he's played. Solid Martinelli for 14m and ESR for 10m. So that's handy.

The transfers are still broken. Jesus, Savic, Lozano and a few others are listed, and I made offers and the message I got was that the player is a key player and the selling team would be reluctant to let him go.

The game plays absolutely beautiful though. It's a pleasure to play. Absolute joy.

I am playing on top player and have only conceded one goal in 7 games. It's refreshing that the computer does not score with ruthless efficiency like they did on 19.

Also have started using the formations on and off the ball, a great future. Have played a few games on the counter - with Arsenal's pace it works great.

Made up player but try M. Teixera. He's strong too.

Got home and played tonight vs Spurs.

17 shots to 2 in their favour.

Drew 1-1 lol.

It plays great and you can get an OF on the PS4 anyway and problem solved with the licenses.
 
Only just got around to playing the demo for this. I already get FIFA 20 with Origin Access but I'm probably gonna have to fork out for this, really enjoyed the small amount I played on the demo. Haven't played PES since PES 6 and this felt like a breath of fresh air.
