I hear he has been delisted. I think we should grab him in the PSD. He was actually doing well in 2006-07. Was gaining confidence as he got more game time and was handy around the ground taking good marks and kicking goals. Then the Dogs picked up Hudson and Street couldn't get a game. I'd prefer Street over Hudson anyway. He'd get plenty of hit outs and moves well for his height. Surprised the Dogs even picked up Hudson. Thought Minson and Street were a good combo. I think he'd answer our short term ruck problems while Putt gains experience. He has a few years left and he is the 2nd tallest player in the AFL at 211cm ;)

if we are going to even entertain the thought of drafting this spud surely we would look at Jeff White before this guy cmon....

:confused:Seriously, a f***** awful player! No thanks!!!!
Way better off with what we've got!!!
Street wasn't playing for a reason this year and was delisted for those same reasons!
If we're going down that road, give me Jeff White!!!

Players of the ilk of Street will fast dissappear into the sunset very quickly, with the introduction of 4 boundary umpires. No room for dinosaurs in the modern game now. No. ;)

We won't even have a PSD pick most likely. If we wanted to accommodate one we would have to delist another player, so assuming you are right (bogus assumption, I know) and Pettifer will stay, who should it be?

Why will Petts say? Morton beats him in every aspect of the game.

No no no!

Hacks...There is Cox and the rest

Cox is a true ruckman in that he gets 30 hit outs and 20-30 possesions...no other ruckman can do both

And correct me if I'm wrong here but he was a rookie

We dont need to recruit ruckmen that are average, we already have at least three on our list.
Had we only had 3 ruckmen I would have said go for a risk ( Not Street though ) but to have 5 tall players that cant play any other postion ( Aside from Simmonds up forward ) but in the ruck and pretty average at that, I really dont uderstand why we recruited Cartledge...Putt still has 3 years, Graham...good strong body, look sthe goods, hopefully he can step it up a gear. Pattison to skinny and short, Simmonds getting on....

Patto is taller than Simmo

While I agree with the sentiment, I think people overrate the impact of 4 boundary umpires. The ball wont go over any more often, it'll just be noticed more correctly. How many OOB's get missed? 1 or 2 per game?

As I said, I agree with the sentiment though..I think opinion of if Giants Vs Athletes in the ruck is a cyclic thing.

Morton is option one and Pettifer stays for depth. People hate him so want him to go but he kicks goals. If Brown and Morton go down who do we turn to? Collard? Casserley? Connors hasn't kicked more than 1 goal in a game and Edwards weighs 50kg. I don't even know where Meyer is.

Uh? He kicked at least 3 for us on a few occasions. Get your facts straight.

As for Street, I just checked his stats. Played a fair bit behind Darcy, Hudson and Minson obviously but in his one full year where he played 21 games - 2006 - He killed the comp!!!!
6th in hit-outs on 422. Well ahead of Simmo, Hille, Fraser and Campbell who all played 21 games or more.
Ave 20.1 which was more than J.White and B.Lade as well. If he's fit, look at him!

at 211cm you should hope he can get a fair few hit outs with such a height advantage.
Look how useless he is around the ground and think why it is that the dogs were so desperate to get Hudson from Adelaide, even though they already had Street.
If he comes close to Punt Road, even just for training I will be absolutly disgusted
