They've only lost Hassan Ridgeway so far and they signed Sam Darnold for 1 yearI'm curious on SF spending all that money to further strengthen their defence. Have they lost anyone?
They clearly should've been looking at QB I'd have thought.

Who's the starter? Lance has proven nothing and Purdy just had a hot streak and is now coming off major surgery to his throwing arm. They've already got a starter and a good back up. You can't keep spending money on the same position in case of injuries, you don't have enough salary cap.

Unless they've lost a defensive starter I'm not familiar with, I just can't fathom dropping more money on a position that really doesn't address the issues they faced last season.

They're in win now mode and the guy is coming off an ACL and previously relied on his athleticism. You reckon they don't think a guy they took at 3 is their starter? Righto.

Anyway, not the thread for it. But if I was a 9'ers fan, I'd have much preferred investment at the QB position over Hargrave.
So far it is pretty much as expected though :
- we knew Hargrave would get paid (4y/$84.5M) and we wouldn't be able to afford to match it
- let TJ walk (3y, $19.5M) and play Dean to save $
- let Epps walk (2y/$12m) and play Blankenship to save $
- let Dillard walk if he got paid (3y/$29M), and sweet jesus did the titans over pay him
I think Shanahan has proven his offence works with just about any bum he throws in there, Darnold might be a really good signing, especially if Purdy isn't going to be ready by week 1.
It's proved it can injure any quarterback at least. An equally good reason not to spend there.
Nice
D still needs CB2, FS and DLine rotation but looking good (Hoping Milton Williams can replace Hargraves)
Offense looks elite still, just need a power back IMO - what’s Blount doing these days?
A position I suspect we try to upgrade on later in the draftHave we decided on Quez yet?

I'm not against that.Amazed we kept Bradbury really, suspect that means Slay trade is likely
