Carson Wentz completed 4-of-4 passes for 56 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' preseason opener.

He had a perfect 158.3 passer rating. Wentz faced plenty of pressure, but he was able to twice escape for big plays. The first was a fourth-down conversion to Jordan Matthews, who was the recipient on three of Wentz's competitions, and the second was a 38-yard touchdown to rookie Mack Hollins. Hollins did most of the work after the catch, but Wentz did a great job to even get him the ball. It was a positive first outing for a player the Eagles hope takes a step forward as a sophomore.

I quite like it to. Darby plays under Schwarz, who is fantastic rookie season was under. And we get him for 2 seasons for almost nothing.

I was and am a fan of Matthews, but even if Agholar hasn't sorted out his iron hands, we have more depth at WR than we do at corner, and it's a bit easier to find decent WRs off the street than it is good corners.

He's quick, explosive, young and cheap.

Doesnt have a lot of INTs, but has a heap of PBUs.

I like it.

We weren't paying JM at the end of the year. Happy to deal him for a position that is much harder to fill.

I'm happy to improve our secondary.

What I'm not so happy about is Agholor spending another year with a starter's number of snaps.

Maybe others can pick up the slack though, Hollins looks likely and Treggs is having a pretty decent training camp from all accounts.

Positives:

- Darby, such an upgrade on what we had and legitimately looks like a number 1 corner;
- Barnett, another game, another dominant performance, hard not to be excited about his potential;
- Kendricks, not sure if the plan is still to ship him but he has balled out in both games;
- Defense as a whole, absolutely dominated the Bills tonight, Taylor had a QBR of 12.

Negatives:

- Offensive line, at what point do we start to get concerned? Running game has been really bad both weeks, pass blocking also questionable. This unit was meant to be a strength;
- Running game, ties in to the above but has not looked good. Blount looks slow to me;
- Wentz had a few shocking throws tonight, may have been down to the bad pass blocking but still wasn't ideal.

Coach Doug Pederson said first-round DE Derek Barnett will start getting more work with the starters after back-to-back impressive preseason performances.

"You could see how quick he is off the ball," Pederson said. "You could see how well he bends. There's just a relentless finish." Barnett has been one of the best players on both sides of the ball so far this exhibition season. According to Pro Football Focus, he has three sacks, a QB hit, and four hurries through two games. The Eagles have an ultra-deep defensive line.

- Smallwood take some first team reps.
- More Barnett
- See something positive from Robinson in the slot. And Rasul on the outside.
- OL consistency.
- More Kendricks

Great game by Hicks, I hope darby's injury is not season ending.
Wentz looked bad on short touch throws, but looked great in the 2nd half.
Road win vs a divisional opponent is a great start to the season.
Defense looked great, mostly attributed to pressure and quality Dline play.

Its hard to be too critical/positive however, no idea if the skins are any good.

Next week's game vs the Chiefs, who look like a juggernaut, will be a good measuring stick.

Darby has an ankle dislocation apparently. Has to miss significant time.

Damn. That's really going to hurt. Just when we finally looked to have stabilised the corner position.

Mills was pretty good today (he made a huge play, but it was largely pressure and bad throw. Credit to him for catching it though). Would be good to get Douglas up to the speed at some point.

Darby could be back midseason if he doesn't need surgery. So fingers crossed there.

Graham was MVP today. Absolute monster.

Hopefully we can keep up Ertz at this pace. And not his Washington only type pace.

Wentz was a bit rusty. Hopefully will get the synergy with those deep balls. Left at least 2 TDs on the field either underthrow/overthrow.

Watching the first quarter now.

Love big Fletch. That forced fumble was just great.

Great scrambling by Carson in the pocket as well for the TD.

Poor turnover though. The pass was never on and shouldn't have been thrown. Shit effort by Smith though, no urgency at all.

Bloody awful by Crowder for the muffed punt. Happy to see it though haha.

Liked the look of Blount in the first as well.
